Server maintenance to replace a failed hard drive is scheduled for sometime today - at this moment I do not know when exactly. Depending on what all is determined necessary to fix the issue, an outage may occur of up to several hours - or there may be no outage at all.

Update 5:40 PM EST: maintenance is now complete, with no outage (except for several minutes this morning for a reboot).

With Universal Remote Control Inc. now marketing themselves simply as URC (an abbreviation that all the cool kids have already been using for years), I've decided to modify our former "Universal Remote Control Inc." forum (intended solely for the company's consumer remotes) to "URC's Consumer Remotes".

Hopefully this name change also help clarify the purpose of the forum, resulting in slightly fewer folks confusing it as a general forum for "all universal remote controls".

For all of URC's professional/CI remotes, we of course continue to host the "Complete Control by URC" forum.

I've just finished upgrading our News RSS feed to support formatting and (gasp) line breaks, assuming your reader supports those. Not that these news teasers use too much of that sort of thing in the first place, but it should make things just a little bit nicer.

Along the same line, the Forum RSS feeds have had several corrections applied, as their HTML support was just plain wrong. Both feeds now look better and validate perfectly!
