You could even carry it to work and
show all your friends. And, let's face it, even
if your firends do think you're a bit strange,
you'll never lose your remote.

I actually have walked out the door with my remote in my pocket. "Is that your remote, or are you just happy to see me?"

You guys have it all wrong!! The remote organizer (the piece of plastic) that MDvor is kindly presenting to all of us, not only keeps your remotes all together, but it prevents any visitor that comes to your house, to still any of them, the whole thing it won't fit in anybody's suit pocket!! Is the ambulance here yet ?

See Spiky,

You DO need a Remote Holster. Or maybe we could start a new line of clothing with concealed pockets for remotes?

johnneeukca: you just gave me the perfect idea

1) get 2x4 and built remote holder
2) get 2 hooks and screw them at each end
3) get a piece of rope or chain and hook them to the holder
4) hang remote holder around neck
now you never need to pick up any remote any more

Anthony my good man, that is SUCH a good idea, you have no idea. My immediate thoughts are we could even introduce a single remote version of your invention and call it Remote Tie. That way, you could work all of your components AND always look smart! All in the comfort of your own home.

It's Valentine's Day on Friday so we should start marketing it now: "Remote Tie, Make the Guy in your Life a Smarter Man".

You guys... I'm serious.. Go back and check it out.. I already sent the following letter to their "sales department"

I suggest you do the same.. I'll let you know if they reply.

I saw your excellent product and I can't help but think it would be perfect in our new show home theater we are building.

I would like to order 90' of your remote organizer and the center separator to trim out the bottom of the wall all the way around the room.

Is that 1/2" quarter round you use for the center separator, or 5/8". I would prefer 5/8" if possible.

I will not need any of the Velcro, just the baseboard and the quarter round.

Thank you for your time.

PS - You don't have to worry about cutting it into pieces for me. 16' lengths will be fine.

Jay,

I am seriously ROTFLMAO!!! :)

As for the remote in your pocket.. I am guilty of
taking my remote to work with me.. But only because my
other techie friends wanted to play with it! Hey I
even have it set up to control the Pioneed CD Player
in my car! LOL

This really is the funniest thread I have read on this forum and that gizmo is one of the funniest and most useless products I have ever seen. The picture on the website of the model grappling with the 7 remotes stuck to that unspeakable monstrosity is just too funny for words! I might look at it every morning so I can start the day with a good giggle.

"My Boyfriend has all of these complex components
and all of these remote controls.. I could never find
half of them and I was always looking in the couch
cushions.. But thanks to the wonders of Velcro™ and
a hunk of plastic, invented by the folks at Control
Pannel.us I can now hold them all in my hand at once
and I feel like I truly am for once in control!
Thanks Control Pannel.us !!!!"

job is done, guys.

have you noticed that mdvor has not bothered to reply for at least ten posts?

poor guy thought he had a good idea, never saw this coming, did he?
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

no, but can't believe he thought it was a good idea, who wants to pick up seven remotes at once? Everyone I showed it too thought it was a joke site. No one could believe it was for real

You say it's a joke but I tracked the link right down to where you enter you credit card information and I'll be damned if I'm going any further!

I also couldn't believe that people could actually sell such crap....

It reminds me of a story that my Dad told me about my Grandfather; Plagued by rats under the floor of his home he sent big bucks (about 25cents back in the day) to a company in a magazine selling a guaranteed rodent killer. He waited for 2 weeks and when it finally arrived he couldn't wait to use it....
In the box he found what was indeed a guaranteed rodent killer, a small hammer, with these instructions
Hit rodent hard on head untill dead

Buyer Beware!!!!

Well, the guy is from New York. They are full of great ideas up there ... like electing Hillary as their senator, just for example.

I can see his ship is sinking.......what's that......look close there....yes,use my binoculars.....his ship is made from baseboards!
Damn routered edges just couldn't hold up!
Uh oh....look there....his life boats are built the same way! Mdvor is going down with the ship.
A sad sad tale of misused lumber products indeed.
