Jason,

Go to www.triplebsoftware.com, there you will be able to get a Fully Functional 24 Disc Demo. If you should have any problems and/or questions, please email me.

Question about DVD profiler...

If I only have one changer (777ES) do I still need to label a location to go along with slot number? If so, what do you call it and where else does that information need to be entered in DMX 3000? I keep creating XML files in profiler and cant get DMX to recognize it ?

Yes, The location has to be entered for any movie that is in the changer, otherwise DMX will skip that specific movie assuming its not in a changer. The only other place that the location name needs to be used is in your BaseRCC file. You will make a controls page for each changer you have, (in this case 1).

You can name it whatever you want. I used "CX777ES-1" personally, but you can name it whatever you want.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks for the quick reply Bracken!

Is there a way within Profiler to set up a default location? Or does the Location have to be entered everytime like the slot info?

Also, is this lack of location what is causing the MX3000 not to recognize my XML file?

If by, not recognize, you mean nothing shows up in the listing after selecting your XML file. Yes, any movie without a location is skipped because it is thought not to be in a changer. Doing this allows you to catalog all discs including extra's etc. but not be required to put them in your changer if you dont want to.

Is there a way to make a location the "default" location. Or does it require manual entry each time?

There is no way that I am aware of to make a default location, but since you have to open the window in order to put the slot info in anyway, if you just copy the location name so that it is on the clipboard. Then just paste it, really doesnt take that long.

Bracken,

I gave all my DVD's a location and that worked like a champ. Now, its telling me that no DMX device exists and to import one from the provided template...

??

:o]

I am so confused...

Did you follow along with the quickstart guide? It can be found on the start menu along with the DMX-3000 Shortcut.

You should have imported the "Import Header.rcc" into your existing remote configuration, and prepared it for the first use by renaming the controls page to your Location, along with a few other one time steps.

I recommend you run through the quickstart guide, and then feel free to email me if you have any other questions.

Bracken,
Everything is all better now. :o)

Any chance of getting a look at that "gravity "skin for the DMX interface?
Maybe just a sneeky-peeky?

Thanks for the guidance....

Excellent, I am glad you got everything working.

I will post some screenshots of 'gravity', which by the way is a very impressive template, as soon as I get home tomorrow evening. Dale is awesome to work with, I am using this template on my remote and love how smoothly everything flows now. Having DMX-3000 feel just like the rest of the remote is very nice. I intended on having some info/screenshots up this past weekend, but just didnt get a chance.

Bracken, I know you're busy, so I'll save you a little time. Thanks for all your help in getting the DMX3000 part of Gravity ready!

Here are some screen shots of DMX3000 with a Gravity skin. To understand everything you see, you should know that in Gravity, red buttons perform an action such as sending IR, while blue buttons navigate to a different page on the remote.

DMX3000 Main Page

A Page from the "Adventure" Genre

A DVD Detail Page

Multi-Disc Selection

The Alphanumeric Selection Page

Wow, that looks good! Is the background color user selectable?

When might this entire template be available for consumption? I'd be very interested in seeing more screenshots and seeing what it has to offer...
