3B,

Your thread caught my attention. I have been working with URC for awhile and now I have 3 MX3000's to program. I would like to try your software and from what I have been reading, sounds like you've done quite a service.

Thanks

Bisy

Helipilot,

The most common cause of this error is that you have not renamed your Controls page to match the Location you used in DVD Profiler.

Those two must match identically before the software will make the link between the two.

Please let me know if you have any more questions.

quick question..... im thinking of buying a laptop and i want to install the dmx program to it, will i have to purchase another key or can i use the same one again, the reason i ask is because each time you install the program it uses a differnt installation ID so a different key is needed?...

DMX-3000v1 died after install on new laptop. Clean removal and reinstall. Still dead. "Runtime Error 13 Type Mismatch." Thought it might be a serial number problem, so I bought another $99.00 copy of the same Aug 1, 2005 version. Still Runtime error. Help, please.

Thank you

I think you're in the wrong thread, but I can tell you that the Motorola cable boxes do no have on and off IR commands. However, the device draws essentially the same amount of power whether it is on or off (off isn't really off with this box). Therefore, the easiest solution is just to leave the box on all the time.

As for the Sony 860, the discrete ON and OFF commands are already in the URC Preprogrammed IR Database as P-ON and P-OFF.

What is the highest number of DVDs people have been able to use with DMX-3000? I am at 778 (many more still to input into DVD Profiler) and already I am having to remove parts of my set up like TV channel logos to make room in the MX! Is there anything that can be done in terms of graphics that could limit my memory use?

i still have room for more.. it all depeneds on how much memory your using for your template... things such as animation, sounds... take more space to use..

Thanks for the advice, pity the reason I chose the MX-3000 was that it had animations and sound....

Mike,

At the moment, I really dont have a very good idea of time for the next update. I am getting frustrated, as I am sure most of you are but after supporting and answering emails\questions of current users I have very little spare time at the moment to work on adding new features to DMX. Dale Crawford (Darnitol) and I have just finished a pretty killer graphics upgrade to DMX and it is MUCH better looking now. Instead of just re-skinning it like we did the first time, we actually replaced and updated all graphics. The software update has been completed for support of the new graphics layout and will be released as soon as the remaining updates can be completed, primarily the CD support. I had to re-write certain sections of the DVD code in order to accomodate the CD update and as such it doesnt function properly at the moment or else I would just release the graphics update by itself.

As soon as the project I am working on for URC is completed I am going to jump back on DMX full force and want to finish it as quickly as possible. I really appreciate everyones patience on this.

One nice update though for those planning on using the CD support, Music Collector has an updated plugin that enables exactly what I (we) need as far as "Location" and "Slot" information per Disc so that will make it MUCH easier on the end user to enter that information instead of the make-shift text boxes that were picked the first time around for storing the Location and Slot data. (They were on two different screens, one under album and one under disc, so it was rather cumbersome)

Hope everyone has a great weekend.
