Awesome Job! I've got my 2014 Transit Connect on order as of 3 weeks ago. The dealership has had it on order for over 4 months. They claim the weather has delayed the shipment of Transit Connects. Supposedly it is stuck in Florida waiting on a train. I'm rethinking ordering the Masterack Quiet Flex shelving kit for the van after seeing your setup.

Mind sharing what/how you did the bulk head and what you attached to, maybe some close up pics.

You have me about ready to tip out the bulk head I have a build my own. I'm curious how much all this weighs or how it effects your gas mileage.

If you give him a girl, he won't work on the van. If you give him money, he will work on the van.

Hey Skynyrdfan,

Thanks for bringing this up, I was going to post in the what'd you do today, but this works even better. I just bought and picked up the same day (1 of 5 in Western Washington) yesterday. XLT Silver, Long Wheel Base, Cargo Van with rear lift gate.

Pretty happy with the deal I got; went in Pre-Approved from Chase for 1.99% for 5 years, negotiated the dealership to match for 6 years, got the $750 rebate for not using FMC financing; also took advantage of the Dealer discount of 2155. I also ended up choosing to go with a 7 year 75k mile maintainence package for 1600 (*was 2650)...payments 0 down, 9.5% sales tax are 420/month for the next 6 years. I couldn't be happier.

here's a link to what I purchased but in Panther black (not in stock yet though)

- the main delay across the country has to do with custom's and the vehicles being manufactured oversea's (in Turkey?).

Loving how it's driving so far; will begin the outfitting process this week and hopefully get some graphics with our new logo next week...then to post some pictures. It's a nice looking vehicle for a work van (inside and out), I've gotten numerous comments from people in just the past 24 hours. I think we'll start to see a lot of them on the road once they actually start arriving.

It's a sweet ride, wish it were about 8" longer, 6" wider and 3" taller; but it's damn near perfect as I mock up usage scenario's. Will fit everything but 80" plus TV's (the 75" Samsung in box will fit fine), 2" to short of the opening, but might still work with the top of the box off, though I don't see myself trying that unless I have too.

You might want to get them to throw in a pine scented air freshener before you load that tv.

I will also throw in my 2 cents: I had Ford perform a nationwide search for the specific Transit Connect I was looking for after the one I had on order with a dealer was delayed for months. I ended up finding a XLT LWB in silver over 10 hours away. The van is great. I do wish it were it were slightly larger as Bryan mentioned. Read where Ford wanted to make sure this van fit in parking garages with ladders on top. I purchased the Masterack quietflex shelving kit for mine. I don't recommend that kit. I ended up only partially using it. Basically, just used the "frame" and cut MDF shelves to suit my needs. I outfitted mine with the Dewalt Tstaks with drawers. They are awesome!!! If I had to do it all over again, I'd probably follow the lead of 3pedal and make my own shelving. I also got mine around 2k off the sticker. MPG was 26 before loading it with the shelving and equipment, it is now 24. I probably would have waited for the new Transit to come out, but it was barely too tall to fit in my garage.
