You know you are getting raped on gas with that thing. Why don't you downsize and just trailer your festool cart with this:

Alright guys, I got a tiny bit of progress to show. two cabinets are done, shelving is not installed yet, that will be one of the last things I do. also got a bit of dynamat installed as well.

I decided to carpet the boxes to try and minimize the noise of the systainers hitting the cabinets while i go down the road. The white base will be covered in carpet as well. To the left of the big cabinet (behind the single systainer cabinet) will be where ill hang my fish tapes, triangle, base borzit and a few other random things that wont be stored in systainers. I dont know if you can tell but there is a lip on the top of the cabinet facing out, that will be for a LED light rail so i can see all the systainers and shelfs at night!

2 more cabinets to build and carpet and of course the bulk head, then need to attach to the roof and ill be 75% done!

You know, you're gonna have to buy the van when the lease is up now.

On the roof when the rack releases. 98% of my jobs i can do with a 4ft. ladder and they fit fine in the cargo area.

Should we start an over/under pool, or just pick closest month/day.... :)~

Got a decent amount done today. Still need to carpet them and build my bulkhead. Since we are getting a bunch of snow ill probably carpet tomorrow and finish the bulkhead next weekend. These next two cabinets were super challenging, alot of careful planning, measuring and scribing.

Managed to fit my sys-Midi in long ways! and 3 boxes of ICE cable which is awesome.

Deep part for the sys-Midi

Box of cable on top

How big it is

Vacuum Cabinet

The systainer above the vacuum will be a First-Aid Systainer as soon as it comes in! Wanted easy access for emergencies

][IMG][/IMG]

How much space i have with the door closed

First Aid Location

Scribing along the wheel well

][IMG][/IMG]

Little tray for my mini sys's and sys-lite
][IMG][/IMG]

Box for random things like hammers, calk, epoxy etc.

][IMG][/IMG]

How much cargo space I will have!

a ton of work but its coming together really good!

so when can you do mine? that is great work. are you a carpenter or an a/v installer?? I just put the FOR SALE sign on the F250. I will order mine this week.

The Problem I will run into is I live in a gated community. I can not leave a ladder on the roof. Not sure if the 6' will fit inside. I estimate my fuel cost to go from approx $5350 to $2800 if I can get 25 mpg

I'm pretty sure a 6' ladder will fit inside if you don't have a bulk head or don't get one that allows you to lean back. Or if you can hang it on the ceiling and get a bulk head (or customized the bulk head) so that the area above your head is still storage for the back.

3PM - this looks really good. How are you attaching the cabinets to the van? That a good amount of storage. Are you only shelving the one side?

I can't decide between shelving one side, or just shelving at both slider doors for all my systainers, leaving the back and some space between the sliding door cabinets for storage.

Make sure your bulk head is solid. There are some pretty scary crash test videos of wood shelving completely smashing the drivers cab.
do wino hue?
