L5 Remote Debuts at CES 2010
It would appear that the iPhone and iPod Touch universal remote market is starting to heat up. The first announcement comes from L5 Technology, who has developed a small add-on piece of hardware and an App compatible with all iPhone and iPod Touch models, which turns the devices into a full featured universal remote control. Second Amulet Remote Revealed at CES 2010
The first official remote control-related press release from CES 2010 comes from Amulet Devices, an Irish company that you might remember from last year's CES coverage when the company announced their first product, a voice-enabled remote that allowed users to talk to their computers. This year the company has come up with a new version, dubbed the Windows 7 Amulet Voice Remote, with an all-new design. Read more...

...Although now that I look at the photos of the other two remotes announced, they have RECALL as the top center white button, and MUTE as the lower one.

I strongly suspect this photo of the VLZ620 is of a non-functional mockup.

Actually the top white button between the volume/channel toggles will be MUTE. You'll notice that it says MENU right now, just like the black button above it.

I suspect the labels have been mocked up on that photo, thus the spelling error further...

Seems like a very nice remote, big improvement on buttons size and placement over the VL610, but this lacks the VL610's "object d'art" back cover in "bat" mode ;-)

Daniel - we're anxious to read your upcoming review of the Xsight Touch/Color remote...
