URC Launches DMS-IN and DMS-OUT for Total Control
Harrison NY – March 7, 2017 – URC, a global leader in smart home automation and control technology, is pleased to announce today’s release of the DMS-IN Input and DMS-OUT Output digital music streaming devices for the Total Control DMS system.
DMS-IN enables creation of a single DMS audio stream from an audio source. It converts multi-channel audio (Dolby and DTS) to DMS high-quality stereo streams. It supports automation with a built-in sensor that detects an audio signal and triggers the programmed activity. It features analog, optical and coax inputs.
DMS-OUT bridges a Total Control DMS multi-zone system to an A/V receiver. Installers can use the DMS-OUT to grant third-party amplifiers access to DMS audio streams. It enables the system to play any source connected to a DMS multi-zone system through a sound bar. It features analog, optical and coax outputs.
The DMS-IN and DMS-OUT are powered via a 5V DC power adaptor or PoE. They feature status, power and network LED indicators. The lightweight, compact devices (5.8 oz. and 4.6” W x 1.2” H x 4.6” D) mount easily to a wall or cabinet with an integrated mounting bracket. A reset button is located on the base of the unit. An MFS-8 or MFSPOE-8 network switch is required for integration. Both the DMS-IN and DMS-OUT feature a two-year limited USA warranty.
