After the surprising news earlier this year that Logitech was planning to divest themselves of the popular Harmony lineup of universal remote controls, ever since then the company seems to have taken a renewed interest in the product. First, there was April’s unexpected news of two brand new Harmony models. Now, the latest revelation to cross my desk is that after not having exhibited at CEDIA for several years, Logitech Harmony will in fact have a booth at the show later this month in Denver. Logitech has announced plans to sell off both their Harmony remote control line as well as digital video security products, as part of a focus shift plan to restructure the company following a 14 percent year-over-year decrease in sales during Q3 2012. Read more...

Logitech has today announced the brand new Harmony Touch hybrid universal remote control. The new Touch looks to be a more compact and sculpted control than the One, with what Logitech calls a “minimalist design”. It features a 2.4” color touchscreen, redesigned control layout with backlit buttons, includes a recharging station, and can operate up to 15 devices. Read more...

Although the number of universal remote control deals available this Black Friday / Cyber Monday definitely seem fewer compared to last year, if you're after a Logitech Harmony this holiday season you should be able to score a deal at Amazon.

Logitech has just announced two new Harmony remote controls: the monochrome Harmony 600 for $79.99 USD MSRP, and the color Harmony 650 for $99.99. Both models can operate up to 5 devices, include backlit button layouts, use traditional disposable batteries, and sport styling similar to the previously announced Harmony 700. Read more...

Logitech has just announced the latest addition to their remote control family, the $400 Harmony 900, which is essentially a Harmony One with added RF capabilities. Logitech has also completely redesigned their RF system, which now uses “mini blasters”. Read more...
