Plus eight-room system expansion and Sonos certified module

Harrison NY USA - URC, a global leader in smart home automation and control for residential and commercial applications, today announced the launch of the MXHP-R700 handheld remote for MX HomePro. URC also expanded MX HomePro system control to eight zones and introduced a new Sonos certified two-way module.

"URC integrators and consumers wanted a more fully-featured remote control to elevate the MX HomePro user experience. Delivering on our commitment to providing best-in-class products that are backed by industry-leading support, the R700 incorporates a backlit hard button keypad and tabletop charging cradle, plus many other premium features," said Lars Granoe, URC Vice President Product Development.

This new programmable Wi-Fi handheld remote boasts a vivid 2" LCD with custom onscreen menus. The R700's ergonomic design, backlit keypad, intuitive layout and finger grooves make it ideal for entertainment and smart home control. It even displays live video from compatible surveillance cameras when used with the URC Z-Wave gateway.

The R700 features a lithium-ion rechargeable battery, charging cradle and onscreen battery indicator. It retains its battery charge for 3-4 days of normal use after a full charge.

The new Sonos two-way module allows for simple and reliable control as part of a fully-integrated MX HomePro system. Sold exclusively through the custom installation channel, MX HomePro systems are professionally designed, installed and serviced. MX HomePro integrates with Amazon Alexa, Bose, Heos, Honeywell, Lutron, Nest, Philips Hue, Roku, Sonos and more.
