i for sure am pissed about all the bull crap going on with the immigrants protesting facts....

americans love immigrants as long as they obey our rules and come to the states legally.

maybe if they spoke english you would have a clue. english is the native language of america...no polish or spanish or french or russian.

illegal immigrants are just that illegal, here against our laws, sucking up our resources AND OUR RICHES. they are here without permission.

the protestors are confusing the issue... they say we are against immigrants and i say bull shit....we are against illegals.

let me be illegal in one of your countries.... i bet i am put in jail and deported if not worse... i for sure know i will have zero rights.

i dont care what country you come from, poland , russia , sweden, germany, mexico or hell even the middle east and france...... dont come here if you are illegal then have the balls to protest that you have no right..... dont expect shit from me or my coutry....

why should i have sympathy for you when there are good people who will obey our rules no matter how crazy or long it takes to become citizen or a documented visitor.

and another thing... dont fly your bullshit flag in my country over my country's flag.

sorry for the rant

ed

oh yeah and the puerto rican's you are american citizens you fools... my wife and kids are puerto rican.... pr's dont need passports to come to the states pr is for all practicle purposes is the 51 st state....pourto rico is a commonwealth of the u.s.

It might be interesting to note that whilst the U.K.'s population is circa 60,000,000, there are approximately 80,000,000 national insurance numbers in circulation.

Wow ed!

I wonder what you think of empathy?
Did you ever stop and think about what drives people to risk life and limb, humiliation, jail, etc... to cross into the US or EU or the like?
While I agree with you that this does not justify illegal immigration, illegal work, non tax-paying residents, and all of that, I cannot understand your over-reaction to a protest the purpose of which was people asking for their status to be *legalized*! They then can start contributing openly and declare their jobs and start paying taxes etc...

and another thing... dont fly your bullshit flag
in my country over my country's flag.

Certainly, abuse of people's origin, ethnicity, flags and the like contributes nothing to solving anyone's problems.

I can understand your frustration, but take it easy and stop and think about these people's circumstances and what drove them out of their homes to begin with.

As an expat living abroad, I see the opposite side of the coin and it's not pretty. I just wanted to present another point of view on this.

I am glad some one has raised this issue.

The do gooders always turn the argument to ...against immigration or racism or xenophobia etc.

BUT the other side always blurs the Legal Immigrants as blood sucking leaches and lables all immigrants the same.

Without legal immigration many services in the UK would come to a stand still( NHS for one). Many legal immigrants fill the skills gap ,Many Legal immigrants in the UK do the sort of jobs the average white trash just wont get off there backside to do because the benifit system works that way and allows them to.

I too have very little sympathy for Illegal Imigrants they are breaking our laws.

Legal imigrants good,Illegal imigrants Bad .simple as that in my mind.
Yes the reasons why they want to come to our countries is a point of concern and one i do empatise with .hard decisions have to be made and some times that means saying no.

yes i have but they are here without permission, against our laws, what happens to me if i goto mexico illegally?...i get put in jail at best and killed at worse.
Did you ever stop and think about what drives
people to risk life and limb, humiliation, jail,

here is a novel idea....fix your own bullshit country and make it better....dont make mine worse.
,

I cannot understand
your over-reaction to a protest the purpose of
which was people asking for their status to be
*legalized*! They then can start contributing
openly and declare their jobs and start paying
taxes etc...

you want to reward people for breaking the laws of my country....i say bullshit i say throw them in jail with nothing but 3 hots and a cot, no cable no rights for a year then deport them .

why dont you move to france where people of your thinking run rampant...then dont ask for usa to bail you out when the crazies take over.

with your thinking if i steal a car i should be able to keep it. because i earned it, and now i can goto work and pay taxes with my stolen car.

Certainly, abuse of people's origin, ethnicity,
flags and the like contributes nothing to solving
anyone's problems.

how about some respect for my country. american flag on top your countries under it.

I can understand your frustration, but take it
easy and stop and think about these people's circumstances
and what drove them out of their homes to begin
with.

as i said before fix your country dont ruin mine

As an expat living abroad, I see the opposite
side of the coin and it's not pretty. I just wanted
to present another point of view on this.

why should people i know have to wait 5,10,12 years to come to america legally obey the rules and become producive citizens be put at the back of the line for people who lie, cheat and steal and break our laws.....again i say bullshit.

for those of you in america i say "america love it or leave it"

for those of you not from america i say come and visit, come and work but do it legally and obey our rules. when i visit your coountries i will obey yours simple as that

Again, easy with the insults... I agree with your basic logic though.

You missed the whole point of what I was trying to say. I was not advocating their cause. I disagree with illegal immigration and I had hoped I made that clear in my response. I was trying to point to the humanitarian aspect and calm you down a little. I guess it didn't work out as planned.

how about some respect for my country. american
flag on top your countries under it.

Those would be two identical flags one on top of the other, as far as I'm concerned.

I live outside the US and come back regularly. I travel regularly as well. I'm no bleeding heart but I have had a chance to see human suffering up close and personal. This tends to put things in a different perspective, that's all.

I know this post is about the USA but in the UK this issue is high in the publics mind.
If you were seeking asylum why travel through five perfectly good countries before getting on a plane, train or boat to the Island of Britain?
The rest of the EU want us to take our" fair" share of asylum seekers but if you were running from tyranny wouldn’t you stop in the first safe country? Or is running to the one with the best free health care and hand outs more appealing?
I can get Mexicans as its right on the USA border so your always going to get people trying (lets face it every cowboy film I see where they are in trouble they run the other way ; ) ) but others that travel over oceans and continents away without legal authority?
They are just taking the Mickey. If they have nothing to offer your country in the way of needed skills and it is not the first safe haven from say persecution then I am a firm “sorry but no”.
I personally welcome people of all faiths, cultures and colours.
Britain is better as a country for its wide multi cultural society but we are a small island with finite resources .The influx of people from the widened EU where legal immigrants are perfectly legally working here has pulled on our finite resources ,what we don’t need is the further pull on the nations resources with illegal immigrants.

Its difficult to state this without coming across as some sort of closet racist or xenophobe and the guilt of saying no to people who are worse off than ourselves does leave me with a bitter taste in my mouth but I cant see any other logical way apart from saying no.

You do not come across as racist or xenophobe at all.

Your logic is absolutely sound and I agree wholeheartedly with what you said.

At least you see the human aspect in the situation which is all I was trying to point out.

I'm confused!!!!!!

What is it about the word illegal that some people don't understand?????

Once again to make it clear, no matter what your argument may be, illegal is illegal, whether it is immigration or rape.

Illegal deeds are illegal. Period.

If you want to make illegal immigration legal, then why not make illegal rape, murder, robbery and extortion legal? Again, illegal is illegal. And don't hit me back with "illegal immigration is not as serious as murder." Of course it isn't, but it is ILLEGAL!

Hello! Anybody with brains out there listening??????
I'm just a sheep in wolf's clothing...

I'm confused!!!!!!

What is it about the word illegal that some people
don't understand?????

The trouble with this issue is that racists do hi jack the word immigrant (well they do in Manchester UK anyway ) and it doesnt matter if they are Legal or Illegal they are immigrants to them ..meaning something bad. Its like they have some how changed immigrant to a word like flammable and inflamable meaning the same thing

I find it very worrying how obviously second or third generation Indian origin UK citizens are often called "Asylum seekers "or "paki" by whites under there breath but obviously so you can hear.for example in supermarkets or on public transport.

In my area hard working genuine Asians get lots of abuse.Mainly from long term non working ignorant drunk males who call them illegal immigrants or Asylum seekers (when they are not)

The racism seem to be hightened by our media especially certain news papers who every day seem to expose some illegal immigrant claiming too much in state benefits or working illegally this has a knock on effect and ignorant racists accuse any body of ethnic origin as dodgy scroungers!
I personally feel there are more uk white citizens abusing our state system than people of ethnic origin but they are not being highlighted as much.

Having said all this i still dont want illegal immigrants and agree with the first post.
