Daniel has been testing them for a while. First, we tested them on a separate area of the site. Then we tested them in the Test Forum. Then it started in the Intermission. And now he has it running in the Pronto forum.

I assume that the rest of the forums are right around the corner!

I am here and laughing at all of the immature, moronic posts. Didn't feel the need to have to reply to all of them, just reading and laughing out loud. I find it amusing that you all seem to think I am ungrateful or capable of creating better ccf's, I never claimed either. Unfortunately, as badly as you want me to backpeddle or alter my opinion, I will not. I stand firm in my opinion that 99% of the color ccf's are primitive and pre-school in their artwork, color selections, button selecetions, layouts and overall useability. Laugh, joke, poke all the fun you like, but every last one of you knows it's true and Daniels ccf is so far and away superior to everything else that it's a joke. I am not ungrateful, I have posted and uploaded quite a few discrete codes and commands that were unavailable anywhere, so I do my small part to contribute and not just criticize. Since the "little rascals" find strength in numbers and choose to revive this thread after all of this time and exhaust the topic, I feel compelled to give it back to you. Now stop flaming, close the porn window in Netscape and get to work on learning how to use Pronto Edit for dummies. Better yet, why doesn't someone make a color ccf that we can use and looks like an adult made it.

How you like them apples?

And to all of the hetero-sexual amongst us, yes both of you, beever is more than just a tv character. Think twice about the nickname now kids. GOLLY GEE!

Thanks for the soap opera, Beev! Just when we were beginning to miss you! he he

"Didn't feel the need to have to reply to all of them..."??? As someone above said, "Yeah. Right!" You DID feel the need to reply to all of them in one good long message. Couldn't keep your fingers off those keys, eh, Beev?

Beever:

I also stand firm that your opinion is that 99% of all non-Daniel CCFs are crap. It's your opinion, and since it only applies to you, it is, by definition, 100% correct. And while I don't agree with your opinion, I stand firm that you shouldn't change it due to anyone's pressure.

No, my quibble with you is that you choose to express your opinion like an asshole. You have absolutely no concern whatsoever for the very community that you're begging for a better CCF from. You may as well have said, "All you people and all your CCFs suck--make something better for me!"

Are you so revulsively narcissistic that you are unaware that your opinion does NOT represent what the rest of the world is thinking? Hey, I know Daniel liked my CCF--he's the person who called it "Amazing," not me. But you know what? I think Daniel is appreciative of every CCF, because he's a good, decent man who understands the hard work that people put into these things. I'm perfectly cool with people liking, hating, choosing, or ignoring my opinion (or my CCF). You, on the other hand, seem unable to accept the idea that you might be in the minority on any issue.

Yes, there are some less-than professional CCFs out there. And there are some top-notch ones. But you wouldn't know which, because you judge them all based on two 1/4 sized screen shots that aren't even chosen by the CCF author. Now you've leaped to criticizing not only the artwork, but the button selections, layout, and usability. Well you've really dumped a colossal load of hogwash on the validity of your point of view now, because you admitted earlier that, for example, you didn't even download my CCF. So how would you know what its navigation scheme is like?

You're just talking out of your backside now, because you're a typical juvenile-minded jackass who cannot tolerate the thought of apologizing for being an insensitive strong-arm. Protected behind the Internet, I'm certain that no appeal will warrant your consideration. To you, your opinion is God's Law, and since you don't have to look anyone in the eye, you're going to stand by not only the opinion to which you are entitled, but also the brash, malicious way you chose to vomit your viewpoint onto the rest of the world.

So hey, more power to you. I have no illusions that my little tirade here is going to change your mind about what's polite and what's obdurate. But since you chose to reinvigorate your stance, I felt it was worthwhile to stand up and be the one to point out that no matter how rude you choose to be, the silence of those you aggrieve does not turn your impudence into acceptable behavior.

Want to know what would shut me up? I'd be prefectly delighted to have you say, "Dale, I don't care for your CCF, but I apologize for how rude I've been."

Can you handle that, Beever? Can you stand up and be a man? Or will you guzzle gasoline into your self-centric fireball of a personality and retort with some blistering suppostion to support your earlier assertion that your thoughts do indeed represent what everyone else is thinking?

What will it be?

Dale: your ccf is a pile of crap. Sorry for being blunt but, you asked for it. I downloaded it and looked through all of the component pages. A lot of variance..NOT! Each page is identical and uses the same poor artwork and infantile graphics. Maybe you wanted to add some sort of consistency to the pages, well they are consistent, Consistently bad. I don't care to shut you up, rant all you want. I think we both get a kick out of this, I know I do.

I never came here to pick a fight with you or anyone else, but you are the "tough guy" around here with the biggest keyboard so you will get the brunt of my comments now.

Perhaps Daniel told you your ccf was "amazing" to be polite. He certainly knows what it takes to make an amazing ccf and for certain yours is not. Sorry, that is indeed a rude comment but, justified and 100% accurate. Your ccf, might I add, is one of the poorer examples I have seen.

The winner of the Pronto contest had a very nice and useable ccf, with original artwork and excellent use of color and shading. No cheezy "key notes" for music and triangular "play" buttons.

Dale, if my post does nothing more than to get your creative juices flowing than that's wonderful. Keep complaining how much of an asshole I am and how ungrateful I am, blah, blah, blah. Who cares?

You obviously have the ability to create ccf's just not creativity. I will most likely never like your ccf's regardless of the amount of effort you put into them but, that's me. Many others may indeed like it the way it is so, why bother even changing it at all.

Sorry to blast you because I genuinely feel bad about criticizing your ccf. I know how many hours must have gone into making it. However, it is not amazing and in fact not even good.

This is the biggest load of crap I have ever seen on this site!

If you were sorry, you wouldn't have done it. If you feel bad about it, you wouldn't have done it either.

You are WAY, WAY out of line here, Beever! The downloads of Darnitol's files show that you are in the minority......... probably a minority of ONE....... and are in need of a swift kick in the ass!

You talk about Darnitol and his keyboard. If I could write as well as him, I'd do it! Obviously, you can't.

Nor can you create a CCF as well as he does.

And you are even slandering Daniel's name by insinuating that he was lieing when he called Darnitol's CCF "Amazing".

GET OFF OF THIS SITE.

I DON'T WANT YOU and I'm sure many feel the same way.

If you have something constructive to contribute and can do it in an non-condescending way, then stick around. But otherwise, GET OUTTA HERE!

You are of no help whatsoever on this site.

... Greg

Beever:

Since you seem to like my CCF (gosh, I'm so honored!) and you're intent on childishly insulting Darnitol's work, I'd just like to mention that I consider Darnitol's CCFs to be some of the very best available on this site. And as Greg mentioned, the number of times his work has been downloaded reflects that. The fact that you don't like his work means absolutely nothing to anyone other than yourself.
