Lets together start a non-ptofit corp. called MONSTER Hearts. Our goal is to support the troups and those who face hunger and opression. It will be perfect when Noel and his associates (I was going to call them goons) tries to sue. An Asian American who accomplished the American Dream going after those that have given him that dream. Might actually be enough to get the big box stores to drop monster and force bankruptcy.

Just a idea I had as I read through this and the other various threads against Monster Cable.

I went back and read through that article and the court filings. Unlike, alot of you guys I DO USE MONSTER PRODUCTS. In fact that's all I use. I was pretty happy with them. They have a nice markup that I can pass on to the customer, and it's a recognizable name, so I found them VERY easy to sell to my customers.

In fact I have a 3m component cable in front of me that I will be cutting up and sending back to MONSTER, with a nice note about how the little guy does have friends and although we might not be able to fight MONSTER in court we do not have to buy their products. Will this hurt MONSTER? No. But I can sleep better at night knowing that in some stupid way I stood up for something.

In fact I might start carrying around a copy of the article to show my customers when they start asking about MONSTER cables.

Can anybody get me an "in" with Tributaries?

Great Idea industry jumper!! But I doubt they would ever go after something that might "harm" his reputation as a complete a**hole!

Maybe we should focus on the "sweat shops" that build his crap!!!

Maybe I'll give O'Reilly a call!! If it's puplicity he wants, Bill is the man!!!
That might just "scare" a few of the big box stores enough to back out!

Hmmm... I think I'll do that.

SkyBird: I pretty much use (used!) Monster too! Up until now!!!

Noel: Don't bite the hand that feeds you! The American public is a caring bunch of people. And they don't care for people like you!!!

I think you you just shot yourself in the foot, again!!

Hmmm...this is a strange situation. Legally, I don't think Monster Cable has a leg to stand on. In addition, the legal expenses for Snow Monsters wouldn't need to be dragged out. A situation like this should be open and shut. If the US Patent & Trademark Office has no basis to let this drag out, why would it?

This sounds like a very peculiar move and peraps a dramatic publicity stunt to make Monster a household name. Look at Enron and Martha Stewart. You may or may not have heard of them 7 years ago, but since they made some extremely poor decisions, NOW everyone knows of them. What happened as a result? Exploitation of the publicity. "The Women of Enron" issue of Playboy and Martha Stewart getting a new TV series when she is released.

Just remember a couple of things...
- The squeaky wheel gets the grease
- The place it hurts most to kick a businessman is in his wallet

Thank you,

I emailed all the addresses, asking to hear their side. I can't imagine they could spin this in their favor. We'll see what they say, if anything.

Sure wouldn't want to be manning THAT booth at CEDIA next year.

They'll do just like Blose did. Take the F*CK us attitude and try some new distribution channels. Blose now hustles their goods to electricians thru electrical supply houses. Its a joke.

I am happy to report I don't have a single piece of Monster in my inventory. Never did - Never will.

How about having an industry wide, one week M* trade-in program? Bring us your M* product and we will give you credit toward another brand. Then, we can send a pile of this stuff back to where it came from. We live in a ski community as well and are afraid of the negative image that this kind of exposure gives our industry. The last thing we want is clients putting us in the same boat as M* and Bose.

I had the misfortune of buying some Munster products in the past.

Actually some of the worst interconnects I've ever had the misfortune to use. And the treatment I received from the rep was shameful. All in all, a waste of my time.

And to those who claim that Munster products have good margins? Sorry, that,s just not so. Margins are weak, product is weak and support is weak. Wow! Sounds like a real winner hey?

Needless to say, I don't use anything by Munster any longer.
