URC and Bird Home Automation Launch DoorBird Module for URC Total Control

Harrison NY – February 16, 2017 – URC, a global leader in smart home automation and control technology, is pleased to announce the release of the DoorBird two-way module for the URC Total Control system in the U.S. market.

This module enables full IP control of integrated DoorBird door stations. It supports the Doorbell Ring and Motion Sensor Activated functions – plus Open Door and Turn on Night Vision commands.

“DoorBird is the perfect integration partner to show off the robust capabilities of the URC TDC-7100 Tabletop Touchscreen Controller and TKP-7600 In-Wall Touchscreen,” said Doug Cole, URC SVP and General Manager. “These two new 7” color touchscreens were designed with door station integration in mind, including built-in audio/video intercom, camera, microphone and speaker features,” said Cole.

“We are very excited that DoorBird can now integrate with the URC system! URC, with its expertise in custom remote and home control systems, and DoorBird with its innovative front door technology is a great match for all customers who are looking for a more integrated automation experience,” said Sandra Finn, Head of Sales And Marketing, Bird Home Automation Group.

The DoorBird two-way module for Total Control supports these DoorBird models: D101, D101S, D201, D201B, D202 and D202B. The DoorBird Integration Guide, available on the URC Control Room dealer website, explains how to integrate a DoorBird door station into a Total Control installation.

DoorBird integration must be completed by a certified URC Total Control systems integrator. Knowledge of Accelerator Programming is required.
