 this weekend will showcase episodes of classic television series in which ADAM WEST appeared. Among the offerings, beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday through 01:00 Sunday, will be his signature show “Batman” as well as his guest spots on “Maverick,” “The Big Valley,” “Gunsmoke,” “Bonanza,” “The Rifleman” and “The Outer Limits.”    _______________________________________________________________ Aisha Tyler Leaving 'The Talk'She'd be leaving at the end of this season, which wraps on Aug. 4, but would definitely come back to guest-host and promote her many projects.

The FCC today proposed to add an alert option to the nation’s Emergency Alert System (EAS) to help protect the nation’s law enforcement officers. Called a “Blue Alert,” the option would be used by authorities in states across the country to notify the public through television and radio of threats to law enforcement and to help apprehend dangerous suspects.

Fox is developing a new singing competition from Israeli producer and distributor Armoza Formats, Variety has learned. Although no series order has yet been finalized, development has accelerated since May, when ABC closed a deal to bring “American Idol” back to television just two seasons after Fox canceled the long-running franchise.
The Armoza project is a variation on classic shiny-floor singing competitions, one in which the show’s four finalists are selected in the premiere episode. New contestants then challenge the finalists each week to steal one of the four slots. The winner is named in the season finale.
