I've had my remote for a while now and it's worked well for me. Recently I got a new receiver and I had to learn it's buttons. That worked fine. Then I assigned it's volume up/down to the other devices. I almost got them all but ran out of memory.

So since I had another device I wasn't using anyway I decided to clear it all and start over fresh. I got everything set up again but now when I try to remap the volume it doesn't work. By the flashes the remote appears to accept it but when I test it out I get nothing. I'm using this command:

DVD(Aux2)* Setup*--** 9* 9* 4** Rcvr(Aux1)* Vol Up* Vol Up--**

Any idea why this won't work?

I forgto to mention - my receiver is a Kenwood vr-309 which doesn't appear to have a code that works. So I haven't assigned a device to the device button I'm using for the receiver. Maybe that could be the problem?

Has anyone out there got the 1994 to work with the Apex DVD player? If so how?

Earlier I stated that the 0269 SAT code worked for my Dishplayer (75%) saving some learned keys. I assumed that a new code erased all learned keys for that device. Could very well be that the learned keys were only replaced if the new code (0269) had a new function for that key.

I have received email that the code did not work for another user and would like clarification whether learned keys are all erased or just replaced. In any case be carefull. Need a remote that takes at least 50 learned keys or has a better library of stored codes.

Greg Hunter,

The Cinema & IQ lists one setup code for Sony MiniDisc: 0490. It also says to use the CD Device key.

Has anybody come across the code for Hitachi 250 DVD. I am still wating for the 15-1994 to be available in Canada, I hope it arrives this week. I am anxious to purchase and set it up with all the information I have read on the forum.

I thought I was posting my message to this thread but it actually is a new thread.

It relates to not being able to have the 15-1994 remote work a Harman Kardom CDR2 cd recorder.

Please feel free to post on either thread.

Thanks.

Another happy user for 1994. Love it! I find this forum gives more info about the features than the manual! Thank you for those who contribute their insight!!! :-)

Just wanted to say "Thanks" for all of you that have contributed here. I just bought a new dishplayer unit and was really in remote hell. I bought the 15-1994 and was able to program it to work on all my devices (Tv,Dvd,Vcr,Receiver and Dish). I was able to find codes for all but the dishplayer and "taught" it the commands to use for it. I am playing with macro's and my only complaint is I wish I had a discrete function to turn my receiver (Yamaha) and Dvd (Panasonic) on and off instead of the "toggle" code. Other than that I am a happy camper. I would NEVER have gotten there without the necessary info/links obtained here as all of you know that have used this device "The manual sucks".

Thanks !

I'm out of "learn" memory and have tried every method described in here to unlearn some keys to
free up memory. None of them work...994, 976 etc.

Has anybody out there unlearned a key, freed up some memory and was able to learn another remote key in the freed up memory??? ...Without flushing everything...

By the way...this is a GREAT thread...thanks for any help...

Thanks for all the great input on this thread. I bought a 15-1994 today. I'm new at this and alittle overwelmed. Just trying to get the basics down first. I have two devises for which I can't find the mfr code; McIntosh MSD4 SSP and Sonic Frontiers L-1 preamp. I'd like to set them up as Aux1 and Aux2. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

I just got my 1994 yesterday. At first I thought it was kinda large, but I'm getting used to it already. Mute button is way too small, but I guess I'll get used to that too.

I've been slowing reading through the thread but I have a -

BIG PROBLEM: Do you mean to tell me that I can't punch through my receiver's volume control to my CD and Tape Deck (Aux 2)? If that's true, I'm in shock. Please say it ain't so. I use my CD player much more than my TV/VCR.

I've tried the 994 route with the VOL+/VOL-/MUTE, which works for the VCR, but not the CD. In fact, I found a "feature" on my CD player I never knew existed, because there is no mention of it in the manual, no way of finding it on the player itself, and nothing on the original remote - "LINE LEVEL" which appears in the info window on the player and goes from 0db down to -20 db when I press VOL- on the remote. Weird.

Any help? Please, oh please!

I manually remapped my CD vol. buttons to my receiver via the 994 sequence with no problems. You haven't filled the memory have you?

Ray: I can't have run out of memory. I just got it and put in the 4 digit codes for my receiver and vcr and that's all.

Does anyone have a Sony CDP-CE535?

Now I've remapped the copied the VCR button to the Aux2 to program my Sony Tape Deck. All I get is the one long red light instead of the 2 flashes.

Anyone?
