Instead of posting a question this time I want to express my kudos and awe at such an outstanding URL. During the years on my computer I queried many organizations, including Dell, MS, Quicken, etc. and none were as effective in solving problems as Remote Central...or as polite without making the uninformed feel like an inferior blooming idiot. I applaud all the informed individuals who are so willing to devote their time and demonstrate their patience in providing their help to the novices. Your URL should serve as a model for all learning URLs to follow. Thanks...jb

The reason why I think we're so much better than other sites. Is because we have remotes which can only go so far as to software, hardware, firmware. For a pc, there are way too many stuff that people deal with. It's like we have the samething as everyone else on this site does. On the other sites they don't know what you have as a system. I am willing to bet, you will be able to find one person in a millon who has the same system. On here, well we all have the same system. Know what I mean?

I'll second (or third or whatever) these remarks. As a newcomer to the Pronto world, I am eternally grateful to everyone here for their help. I have learned so much just from reading posts and looking at .ccf's in the files section. I probably wouldn't have bought a Pronto in the first place were it not for this site and I certainly wouldn't have it programmed as well as I do. (Not that it is that great, but it is a work in progress).
So, in closing...
Thanks.

King I think he meant official sites, not forums. I think the difference is

1) we have lived through the problems so we can understand the frustration
2) we are not limited by what any company wants us to say/ the knowledge in the trouble shooting DB.....
3) we do it for fun and when we feal like it, so not quite the same thing as work
4) we were all helped at some point, so we know the value of passing on the info
5) good company, and Daniel's info make it worth coming back (i.e. are adictive) so while we are here we help others.

Anothy,
Call me Rob please. I know that I am King, but please call me Rob. If I were a millonare. at least I know that I won't be a stuck up ass about it. Ya know? I will be so down to earth it isn't funny. Some day though. Specaily when I get my lience for installing stereos in cars.

But anyways. I was talking about other forums. Being not as informative as this one is. And as friendly and humorus. Yes we may pick on each other that might be taken as a put down. But I hope that we all know it's in good fun. By the way, what ever happened to that topaz guy? Were we too much for him?

Dear Sir or HRH, Bagshot, Surrey (Monday, 10:41pm)

Once again I must protest in the strongest possible terms! You completely misunderstood the gist of whatever was going on in this thread, once again, and I can no longer hear the buzzing of my pet cicada. Will throat-warbler-mangrove be next? (nudge-nudge, wink-wink, say-no-more!)

But I must reiterate, I can see the war in my pants raging ‘neath the covers, all-day-long! And as a result I may lose my train of thought …….. I often ……… and…….OH BLOODY HELL!! I don't remember! So get on with it then!!!

However, you seem to take glee in stifling the exhibition of your MPDs. My husband, in common with a lot of people of his age, is 92 and fancies ME quite absurd, so I just spit in his tea and chuckle like a chimpanzee. You Sir, however, are a Twit! But I must reiterate,

Yours sincerely,
Brigadier N. F. Marwood-Git [Mrs.](where’s me bananner, ay?)
