where did you download it from and how? if it's from mynevo then i think you will have problems getting it to run, 'cos on the website it says: Download NevoStudio 2.0.2

Note that NevoStudio continues to be Windows XP compatible. Universal Electronics is investigating the changes required to make NevoStudio programming software Vista compatible.

Those of you that were able to get Nevo Studio to run on Vista whether through the XP - to - Vista Upgrade path or getting Nevo Studio 2.0.2 to install on Vista, does the "Check For Updates" link work? I was able to upgrade from XP to Vista and get Nevo Studio to work, but now the "Check fo Updates" link doesn't work when I went to download 2.0.2. Any ideas?

Hi,

Try this.

Copy the Nevo install folder from your XP install (*:\Program Files\Nevo) onto a USB drive or something like that.

Copy the files to the Vista machine.

Now....I don't have Vista so this may not be correctly explained....

Right click the nevo.exe file and run with administrator rights.

Nevo studio should now load.
Vista's new WMDC (Windows Mobile Device Centre) should download the correct drive (re-boot required).

As I don't have Vista I can't confirm that all aspects work but i'm told the core programming part works.

Hope this helps.

I have been successfully running & using Nevo Studio on Vista. Like some others in this post, I upgraded from XP and haven't really had any problems once I figured out the Synch thing. However, I ALSO now have a greyed-out "Check for Updates" in my Help menu. In fact, all three internet-related entries in my Help menu are inactive, including "Register Online..." and "Online resources..."

Any ideas on why this is and/or how to get it functional again? My assumption is that this will be my only way to get Nevo Studio updates in the future, so I am concerned about this as a longer-term problem.

Hi Guys, very strange! I have a problem running Vista with Nevo Studio 2.0.2 but my problem is different, I am able to download it and open the Studio itself but as soon as i get to the section "online product registration" it all goes wrong and crashes (hangs)
My Laptop has not been upgraded from XP but was preloaded with "Vista Home Premium" I tried very hard to purchase a XP Laptop but without much luck. what i cant understand is that from reading previous threads from this forum some people have managed to get Nevo Studio to work on Vista with little or NO PROBLEM!
Whats the key I have tried for Hours and Hours and Hours instaling re-installing, checking other sites and upgrading windows mobile (Active Sync for Vista). its driving me MAD! surley UE have had enough time to sort out this Vista compatability issue as with other companies, i know that they are not the only ones but with such a exclusive product you would have thought that almost 2 years was enough time to sort it out, I would say that almost 90 percent of new computers on the market are preloaded with Vista so what are new installers to do?
I emailed there european tech support team and guess what? i received a quick reply with a download directing me back to the Nevo website download page to download the same Studio 2.0.2 update 597 that I had been downloading, with a reply saying "Try this" what a joke!
anyway I have had my winge and I feel abit better now (sort of)

If you download the software from the Nevo Site, for NevoStudio, 2.02 I believe, it is Vista Ready. If you have an earlier version, it will NOT work on Vista.

However, if you plan to use wifi, you must follow the directions on properly enabling the networking within Vista.

Hi Everyone,

I have just sent Daniel an updated version of the Nevo Netwoking guide.
With some help from many people and the great work by the original author we now have a complete guide to installing and setting up Nevo Studio 2.02 and getting all the advanced features working.

Here is the link to the updated file.

Thanks to all the people involved to getting this guide together (you know who you are)

By any chance does any have a copy for Nevo 2.0 or greater. I'm working with a new highend customer and the software disc has been damaged by movers.

If anyone one out there could help you will be helping me keep a job! Thx Guys!
