Hi,
Thanks for uploading these.
Is it still possible to get these activated so that you an have full functionality?
Contemplating picking up a used S70, but no point if I can't get access to the full programming capabilities.
Thanks,
Dave

Neither of these programs works, downloaded both, extracted, the installer began and it appeared they installed, however on attempting to open them they fail.

Same registration fail! Did anyone solved this issue? Software is useless without "registering" it!

Same registration fail! Did anyone solved this issue? Software is useless without "registering" it! Hi again. It's probably best to keep your questions/issue in one thread. Anybody who looks at this forum (there aren't many anymore) sees all threads with new posts, so the "shotgun" approach is unnecessary, and just makes it more difficult to follow a line of discussion or troubleshooting. What version of the NSP installer do you have? And what specifically happens? For example, does the installation appear to complete successfully, but it's only during actual use that you get these pop-ups asking for registration? If so, what action(s)? Or is this a roadblock during the installation itself? What Windows versions have you tried it on....just XP and 10, as mentioned in another thread?

Hi, brodyboy! No shotgun approach and no harm intended at all! Tks for your help anyway! besides my Nevo original sofware (v. 3.0) I also tried to use both versions available in the links therein (v 2.0 as well)... yes, I have win 10 and win xp (virtual machine / emulator) - installation is just fine. No crashes! Just shen I need to use relevant menu options such as uploading or downloading packages to or from Nevo that registration pop up arises. When I try to register it is impossible because mynevo servers are offline. Still no crashes here, the sofware is still accessible, but useless without the most relevant commands unavailable!

I would stick with only the latest version of NevoStudioPro....3.0.0.562. That's the one linked at the top of this thread. (And confirm that your Q50 has the last firmware, v.4.0.5.0. I can confirm that I've been able to use NSP 3.0.0.562 unregistered. In fact, out of curiosity (because I hadn't tried downloading configs from anything but my Win 7 machine for a long time), I just now connected my "tester" Q50 to a Win 10 laptop running unregistered NSP and it successfully downloaded the configuration. That actually surprised me! Interestingly, I recently allowed the program to install Mobile Device Center on this laptop....in other words, the request popped up from within NSP and I simply ok'd it. (In the past, I recall unsuccessful attempts to make Mobile Device Center work with Win 10. Perhaps something in a Win 10 update has resolved a compatibility issue that now allows NSP to just install the one it wants....) Anyway....perhaps it's time to start over, especially since you have tried numerous versions and installations at this point. Completely remove all existing installations on your Win 10 machine. Uninstall Mobile Device Center. Then re-install NSP 3.0.0.562 and allow it to include all associated software (.Net, Mobile Device Center, etc) in the installation. Ignore/skip any requests to register. Whenever you open an unregistered installation of NSP, you'll get the pop-up about registering to get advanced features. Just close the box. Don't even try any of the actions that attempt to connect to the Nevo servers.

Thank you again for your reply! You bet! Since I had tried many things I decided to reinstall it from ground zero! Nevo Studio Pro is now finally downloading to the remote! An interesting detail to point out is that after I installed the last Win 10 security update, Mobile Device Center was not working anymore... after doing a lot of research I found the solution below (I will post it here in case anyone need it and later we can move to another specific topic). The only problem is that after reebooting the system you have to do it all again to make mobile device center functional again. Last question, did you upgrade your Studio Pro 3.0 (using the upgrade herein provided)? SOLVING WIN 10 x WIN MOBILE DEVICE CENTER UPDATE: Some good suggestions which seem to work are now at this web page. [Link: social.technet.microsoft.com]PREVIOUS: I am able to get Windows Mobile Device Center (WMDC) to install, but not fully run. Installing required manually enabling the .NET Framework 3.5 similar to as described at the following web page. [Link: answers.microsoft.com]After install, you must right click on Start, and then click on Computer Management > Services & Applications > Services. Scroll down to right-click on "Windows Mobile-2003-based device connectivity" to select Properties > Log On. Switch to "Local System account" with checking "Allow service to interact with desktop" then click OK. On the handheld, tap on Start > Settings > Connections > USB to PC icon, uncheck the “Enable Advanced Network Functionality” checkbox, tap OK, and then connect the cable. WMDC never shows connected, but ActiveSync on the handheld does, and you can at least open File Explorer on your PC to “browse the contents of the remote device” for transferring files. I am not sure how much this limits RAPI functions. These Services settings changes must also be re-applied every time you Restart your PC. So this is obviously not a final solution.

Last question, did you upgrade your Studio Pro 3.0 (using the upgrade herein provided)? Version 3.0.0.562 was the last one ever released....since I had always kept my software updated (through Nevo), that's the one I've been using for years. I'm glad you finally got it working. It's worth emphasizing, regarding your comments/instructions about Mobile Device Center, that it's not a universally-required fix. While it's apparently necessary in your particular setup, other readers shouldn't assume that it's necessary in theirs. I did not have to do any of that....just let Nevo install its own version of WMDC and it works perfectly. I think the takeaways are that, since NSP is old software at this point, compatibility quirks and snafus should be probably expected, and a functional installation should be preserved as long as one wants to keep using their Nevo remotes.

Very interesting! Am I reading right that you've managed to install NSP and overcome the "not registered" greyed out menu entries? I still use my Q50 and am just trying to do some changes on my S70 and some of those other menu options would be great! I did used to have them all enabled but I guess when I replaced my system drive the registry entries must have been lost. Any idea if this is fixable? Thanks!

Hello, I am trying to get my Nevo SL and Nevo Link up and running. They have been in my store room for 6 years. I have no software (Nevo Studio) at this point and while I can access an old windows computer, it does not have the software. I tried the link referred to earlier in this thread, but Microsoft comes up. I can only assume that that site has changed it's name or is now gone. Would anyone have access to the software and would anyone be able to advise as to whether or not it is possible to overcome the registration requirements and get these units fully operational again. Alternatively, would I be better off to discard the unit altogether and purchase a Logitech Harmony Ultimate Home unit instead. It appears to do everything the Nevo did and more for a fraction of the original Nevo price. The Nevo SL was a tremendously expensive unit in it's day which is why the Scottish in me can't part with it easily. However maybe it is time to move on. Any thoughts on my dilemma? I am retired so I have time to spend to get something worthwhile working, but I don't want to waste my time. Thank You
