I can confirm that Bracken is quite busy readying version 2. It's close enough that I would definitely say not to waste your time troubleshooting version 1.3. Your time would be better spent waiting 24-48 hours to see what happens. DMX-3000 2.0 has a real User Guide this time, so that will likely prevent the problem you're seeing if the whole new architecture doesn't already handle it. Plus 2.0 comes with a new "please wait" page that you'll miss out on if you set up your Import Header with 1.3.

I know there have been close calls on the 2.0 launch before, so I'm just gonna come right out and say it: 2.0 is done. All that's left is updating the web site to launch it.

Best regards,
Dale

Sorry guys, I should have come online and updated. I got power back Friday afternoon. Still very busy during the day cleaning trees and debris from mine and neighbors yards. Wrapping up DMX 2.0 during the night (WITH LIGHTS !!!)

Then had a major website crash this morning, always something, so I spent what time I could muster up today just getting the original site back online and operational.

Uggh.. Anyway, as Dale said, it is VERY close. I know I have said that before, but the software is done finally and will be online in the coming days.

I am with Steve, My prayers go out to all those still without power.

(Just as a side note, I work for John Deere in the OEM Engine Distribution Line, and we cant build generators fast enough right now so its hectic at work also.)

DMX-3000 2.0 is Now Available!

Can you believe it? Its finally here!

I would like to say thanks to those that helped with the Beta test, your input was helpful in getting the software to this point.

I would also like to give a very special Thank You to Dale Crawford (aka Darnitol). His help with this release was invaluable and it wouldnt be anywhere close to being ready if it wasnt for him. He was able to take my vague input and turn out a very polished and quite impressive looking Graphic Interface for both the software and the DVD Menu on the remote. So Thanks Dale!

I have made a post in the Complete Control forum HERE since the MX-3000 is part of that line of remotes.

More information about the release and website update can be found in that thread.

Now, everyone ENJOY !

Best Regards,

I posted this in the other thread as well, more people may see it here

----

It is incredible, I just downloaded the update and printed the manual ( 57 pages ) it looks fantastic on the emulator. I cannot wait till i get home and download it to my remote.

the upgrade was super easy, Bracken and Dale have out truly outdone themselves. Yes , it was worth the wait

I can't say enough positive about it, and i only have had it downloaded for less than 30 minutes. I am anxious to drill into the program and play around.

If you have a MX3000 , you owe it to yourself to have this program , even if you dont have a mega changer. I have one changer and set up my HDDVD , Blu Ray and DVD players as well, When i select a blu ray , a macro sets everything to that source, with a splash screen telling the individual to get the movie out of the case, etc.

For the intro price of $79 , no brainer, and Bracken deserves our support for his efforts.

The website looks great as well

beyond my expectations

thank you, thank you

Thanks for the nice words, everyone. I have to say it was really cool being involved in DMX-3000 2.0. It is truly something I would have thought could not be done if I hadn't been able to follow along behind the scenes. The MX-3000 was never designed to do this much. And I can say that, because I was part of the MX-3000 design team.

And although I'm very proud of Bracken and of my part in this, the amazing results Bracken produced are not the coolest thing to me. For me, the coolest thing is that due to this project, I've met one of the best people I've ever known, and made one of the best friends of my life. While some people may have felt disappointed over the timeline for this release, if you knew Bracken and the events of his life these past two years, you'd all be stunned that he stuck with it at all. Few people would have. But he did... mostly driven by wanting to make the product meet your expectations.

Okay, I'll get off my pat-on-the-back soapbox. I just wanted the world get a small sense of how honored I've felt to be involved with DMX and to know Bracken.

I hope you all enjoy DMX-3000 2.0 as much as I enjoyed working on it.

Oh and hey... I think there needs to be some sort of award for the longest-lived thread in Remote Central history! Check out that original post date!

Best regards,
Dale

Dale,
Thanks for you honesty, very kind words and thoughts towards Bracken,
I certainly would like to meet him and shake his hand, buy him a beer or 3 :)
as he has made my life SO much easier since DMX-3000 came into my and my families life.

Everyone comes into some type of hardship throught their life,
unfortunately, some more than others;
But more than that,
he has honored his original comments of an upgraded DMX software for no extra cost.

He has gone through more than most of us would ever want to in their lifetime, and STILL deleivered what he promised.
So what, if he has taken a little more time than expected,
The RESULT IS AWESOME and well worth the wait.

My congratulations to you both Bracken and Dale.

Job well done

Cheers
Steve

Does the new version of DMX-3000 now support genres?
I love the sound of bagpipes when I'm mourning.

Now it's easier than ever to discover DMX-3000... even if you don't have a DVD jukebox or DVD Profiler yet!

Check out the DMX-3000 2.0 Preview RCC on www.triplebsoftware.com, in the downloads section. This sample MX-3000 file shows you all the features of DMX-3000. You don't have to do anything!

Download and install no problem. Run then to Option and on to General to insert my ID and key. ID is already installed (and changes every time I boot up the app) and will not let me change it. Of course my key doesn't work with the system installed ID. Am I alone?

A part from that everything else looks spiffy.
