dan's cookies

yield: 6 servings

ingredients

1/3 c butter or margarine
1/3 c shortening
1/2 c brown sugar
1/2 c white sugar
1 egg
2 ts vanilla
1 1/2 c all purpose flour
1/2 ts baking soda
1/2 c wheat germ
1/2 c chopped nuts (we usually use dan's)
1/2 c coconut
6 oz package semi-sweet chocolate chips

cook in a microwave for 1 minute at.....um.....at....ummmmmmmm.......

I was down stairs when the power went out .
I know this as my wife shouted from the bedroom"get some duracells from the shop now".
and the fact that the buzzing noise had stopped was a bit of a give away too.
