Most of us are aware of the electric power going out for about 50 million Canadians and Americans, some may have it back which may turn out to be temporary, and some may have to wait for a couple of days.

Just like in 1965 when a similar thing happened to the same group of people, the question on everyone's lips is "Where were you when the power went out?". Did you get home? Where did you stay? What problems did you encounter? Were you prepared?

Let's hear from you.

I was working nice and peacefully when everything shutdown. Getting home from a heavily populated business area with plenty of traffic and no traffic lights was no fun adventure.

Dan, glad to hear all went well. The first thing I did when I heard the news was call my sister in Ottawa. Talked to here a bit earlier today, and they just got power back.

Daniel, how is everything with you

Yeah, we got power back late last night, at about 3 in the morning. Some places still haven't, however. I know there are continuing brownouts in some areas. It seems as though everything will be fine soon enough

Came back just after 3AM or so for me. My main problem was that the cable company had no power, so for net access it didn't matter if I did or not! :-)

I was asleep. So I dont know when my power was effected. But it was, Because my fan was turned off, along with my cable box. Im glad however that I have a ups on my pc. Because I leave that on. Foxwoods lost power for a few seconds, just like must of. I live about 5 minutes away in the same town. A town on the other side of the river, where Mohgen Sun is at, the other casino. Lost power for nearly 18 hours. So the Mohgen Sun might of been out for a hour or so. Since it takes a while for the gens to get running and/or the call to turn them on.

You're all overlooking the obvious:

Q:Where were you when the lights went out?
A: In the dark!

Has any one around the area that was effected. Experince any dial up net problems? Before the black out I had 15 numbers on my list from three different towns. Now I only have one. The other two towns are always a failure.

BTW: Many Marylanders are still in the dark after high winds and thunder storms knocked out the power FOUR DAYS AGO!
New York get over it!
