Kamala Harris . In the UK her name seems to come up a fair bit on the BBC .. I know nothing of her politics BTW just seen her name and picture disproportionately. Does she stand any sort of chance in 2020?

Does she stand any sort of chance in 2020? Well, according to the latest polls, head lice and urinary tract infections both win in a head-to-head with Trump. He'll deny it and cry "Fake News". As for Kamala, at this point it's too early to tell. There are 22 or 23 others in the race and there are five or six ahead of her in the polls. But it is way too early in the process. Joe Biden is leading, but so what? He could have a heart attack next week :-)

The answer is no. She does not stand a chance. The democratic voters are in 2 totally different camps right now. Those who think that we can somehow make it back to the 90's when the republi-crat Bill Clinton was making deals across the aisle and those who realize that the "good old days" never really happened. So Biden for the uninformed or wannabe republicans...and Sanders or Warren for the people who are tired of living under the rich mans boot. Everyone else in the race is a joke and has no chance.

It'll be 3-4 months before the demo field starts to slim down and then we'll have an idea of who has a chance. Personally, I think Biden/Sanders/Trump are too old. If you're old enough to get full SS benefits you're too old to be president. It's a pressure cooker job and too important to shoot craps with a old heart.

Old age doesn't bother me as much as old ideas.

It only took a month. Down from 24 to 5. Harris and Buttigieg will get the ax next. [Link: cnn.com]

Sanders has almost twice as many individual donors as Warren (number two slot). The times had to create two maps. One where Sanders dominates the whole country and another map excluding Sanders so that its possible to even see where the other candidates are receiving donations. [Link: nytimes.com]

Quarter 3 funding.... Warren $24.6 million. 943,000 donations from 509,000 donors. Sanders $25.3 million. 1.4 million donations from 900,000 donors. Biden $15.7 million. He doesn't mention donors or donations because he doesn't want you to know hes being primarily funded by corporate America in an effort to continue their hold on our politicial system.

This time they want to force Biden on us. If they are successful Trump will be elected again. Biden couldn't beat Melania in a general election.

Bloomberg enters the race. This is good news for Sanders and Warren. The democratic party is roughly split between right of center pro-clinton/obama/biden and the center and left of center liberals who support things like using tax dollars to benefit every American and not just those who already have million/billions of dollars. I worried that the primary would play out like this. 1 vote to Biden...1 vote split between Sanders and Warren. Adding Bloomberg in the mix means that half the voters will split their votes between Biden and Bloomberg and half will split their vote between Warren and Sanders. If individual donors are a sign of whos actually going to vote....Sanders wins by a landslide in the primary. And lets face it...a piece of rusty metal responsible for killing baby koalas can beat Trump in a general election at this point. I am sure that at least some of his original base is capable of basic thought so there is no way they will vote for him again.

Bloomberg already has 8% in recent polls. At the same time Sanders and Biden are nearly tied for front runner. Warren has slipped to the teens. If bloomberg continues to climb in the polls Biden will begin to slip. The race is heating up. [Link: cnn.com]
