Is there any update on IP control for current Samsung TV's? The latest info I have is that I must resort to rummaging through the factory setup menus, using the RS-232 --> USB TV dongle, and an RS-232 controller. This usually works OK, although I've had a few suspicious loss of control events after a power failure.

What control system are you using? I have Crestron Home systems controlling Samsung TVs without issue (including their Frame models).
You can't fix stupid

I'll usually use RTI or TouchControl through the Samsung EX-Link converter. I've not seen a direct IP command protocol published for these TV's.

I control tons with URC TC. Requires an Access Token, in the TV menus. plus other tv settings. Yes. Easy.

Residential models or commercial? The protocol is different

RTI has had a Samsung IP driver since 2018'ish for the residential models

+1.

We've even got Samsung IP control over here in Australia now! Yay!

Never had an issue.

That said, I threw away all my RTI systems/Clients about 3 years ago. ;)

For you Elan guys, give me the secret sauce to making the Frame go into Art Mode when Elan turns off the TV. I have fiddled with it a bit, but the thing stills goes off all the way. I will be out there next week and would like to be able to fix it up. I will put an IR emitter on it if I need to.
