Does anyone know if a Roku express + will send both HDMI and analog simultaneously.

I want to place a Roku in a masterbed, video to local TV and line level up to rack and back down to the IC speakers.

The pile of parts that I may end up needing to do this with their current Roku 4 is troublesome. The local blu ray is already using the available cabling to send line level up. So to add the Roku 4 I would need a DAC on the opti, a line level switch, and possibly a local HDMI switch (not sure if TV has a 3rd hdmi input).

don't know the answer about simultaneous audio with the roku.  but how about using an HDMI switcher that has analog audio output?  Vanco has a nice switcher that will extract audio and send it out via analog and toslink.

Well that's a nice little box. That will do the trick.

That would have come in handy on a job I did recently. Sonos playbar with clients existing tv. Turns out TV had no audio output. I had already specc'd and installed a Metra 5x1 switch. I had to order the Vancouver HDMI audio extractor to make it work.

I used the Vanco switchers on a boat not that long ago and had good results.  I spec'ed them just for this purpose.

I will from now one when I have a need. I didn't realize I needed one on that job even if I knew this piece existed until after everything was ordered and during the install.
