don't know the answer about simultaneous audio with the roku. but how about using an HDMI switcher that has analog audio output? Vanco has a nice switcher that will extract audio and send it out via analog and toslink.
[Link: vanco1.com]That would have come in handy on a job I did recently. Sonos playbar with clients existing tv. Turns out TV had no audio output. I had already specc'd and installed a Metra 5x1 switch. I had to order the Vancouver HDMI audio extractor to make it work.
