If one has a working older version of CCP and you dont use it often, why not just turn off the WiFi / Lan connection on your PC before opening CCP ?

Has anyone tried to dis-assemble the exe? Those with skills will know what I mean.

I just have my firewall set up to not allow CCP internet traffic.

The easiest solution to the desire to not upgrade was posted a long time ago . . . Simple rename "url.ini" in CCP to something else. Then it does not have a "phone home" site defined, and does not try. If you ever decide to take an update, simple rename it back . . . No dirking around on the network, firewalls, etc. and if you happen to bring up CCP somewhere else, it can't connect outside your firewall and break your installation.

Tried getting an end user account at URC to help sort out an update on my existing install. Quick response back...no go :(

in this post some person post the old version of the CCP, I do have a old PC and I read that last update will ask for user name and password, I have to do 2 updates until get to that point, now user name and password is not an option because already call the URC comp[any and I have to register the company, and that is not an option, so I update until this version 4.0.1106.1.  that do NOT require user name or password, my question for you guys, I do have and remote X-8,  Is any way to set it up on this version that remote. when i check on the option do not show me the X-8 option, only option are MX880, MX890, like only MX version. need help guys please

Jaun, my CCP is updated (4.14.0311.9) and there's no X-8. Did you try 890 as you were told here?

hEY AVphile thanks for the reply i do have an option MX-890 i tried to do a couple thinks and I sync it with the X-8 and seems it pass all the information, I have another question, I will keep current version so i can work free on the software, on that current version the first option MXW-920. is that model mxw920-Beter to upload an imagine in my X-8, or i should stick with the MX890 version and upload it in my X8, also when i was working on the software I notice th rom< base stations and remotes, Do I have o buy any of the Base stations to configured my equipment or i just can stick with y remoted control x-8 this is pretty much to turn the tvs on a restaurant and change the channels from, direct tv boxes thats all help please
