LCD Timeout Setting
[Commander Off] + [Volume-] + [Channel+]
Use the (-) or (+) keys to change the value from 1 through 30 minutes.

LCD Backlight Timeout Setting
[Commander Off] + [Light]
Use the (-) or (+) keys to change the value from 1 through 60 seconds.

To enable or disable the fade feature (RM-AV3100 only), enter the combination above, press [COMMANDER OFF] once, then select the [FADE] option. Press [ON] to enable, or [OFF] to disable.

LCD Backlight Brightness
[Commander Off] + [Light] + [Volume+]
For the RM-AV3000 select [BRIGHT] or [DIM].

For the RM-AV3100, use the (-) and (+) keys to select a value from 1 to 10.

LCD Backlight Auto-On Setting
[Commander Off] + [Light] + [Volume-]
Select [ALL] to force the backlight on whenever the screen or certain hard buttons are tapped, or choose [LIGHT] if you only want to activate the backlight when the [LIGHT] hard button is pressed.

Contrast Adjustment
[Commander Off] + [OK]
Use the [CHANNEL UP/DOWN] buttons to adjust contrast levels to one of 16 levels.

Beep Tone On/Off
[Commander Off] + [Muting]
To enable the beep tone, press [MUTING] + [VOLUME+]. “BEEP ON” will appear on the display.

To disable the beep tone, press [MUTING] + [VOLUME-]. “BEEP OFF” will appear on the display.

Sets the Clock
[Clock Display] + [Recall]
Select either “STD Time” for Standard Time or “DS Time” for Daylight Savings time. Use the [RIGHT] and [LEFT] arrow keys to select the day, hour and minute, use [UP] and [DOWN] to change the value. Press [SET] to start the clock.

Sets STD (Standard) Time
[Clock Display] + [Channel-]

Sets DS (Daylight Savings) Time
[Clock Display] + [Channel+]

Transmits or Receives Data from Another Remote
[Commander Off] + [Volume-] + [Channel-]
Note: you can only transfer to/from identical models, for example you cannot transfer an RM-AV3000 to an RM-AV3100.

To transfer all information to another RM-AV3000 or RM-AV3100, first press the [UP] (send) arrow on-screen. Then press the “ALL” button. When the receiving remote is ready (see below), press the [ENTER] button to begin transmission. Arrows will show on-screen, when the transfer finishes [END] will appear. If the transfer fails, “NG” will flash.

To receive all information from another RM-AV3000 or RM-AV3100, first press the [DOWN] (receive) arrow on-screen. Then press the “ALL” button. To begin waiting to receive data, press the [ENTER] button. If “NG” flashes the remote must first be reset: press [CLEAR], followed by [RETURN], then try [ENTER] again. Arrows will show on-screen, when the transfer finishes [END] will appear. If the transfer fails, “NG” will flash.

To transfer one component to another RM-AV3000 or RM-AV3100, first press the [UP] (send) arrow on-screen. Then press the “COMPO” button, followed by the component you would like to send. When the receiving remote is ready (see below), press the [ENTER] button to begin transmission. Arrows will show on-screen, when the transfer finishes [END] will appear. If the transfer fails, “NG” will flash.

To receive one component from another RM-AV3000 or RM-AV3100, first press the [DOWN] (receive) arrow on-screen. Then press the “ALL” button, followed by the component button you would like to transfer to. To begin waiting to receive data, press the [ENTER] button. If “NG” flashes the component must first be reset: press [CLEAR], followed by [RETURN], then try [ENTER] again. Arrows will show on-screen, when the transfer finishes [END] will appear. If the transfer fails, “NG” will flash.

Clears Customized Settings
[Commander Off] + [Muting], [Set], [Reset]
To reset the entire remote control, press [ALL]. To finish, answer [YES] twice.

To reset all learned signals, macros and aliases for a single component, press [COMPO] followed by the component you would like to clear. To finish, answer [YES] twice.

To reset all components at a single time, hold the [DEL] key at the top of the screen and press [COMPO].

To reset a single system macro, press [SYSTEM] followed by the System Control button you would like to clear. To finish, answer [YES] twice. TIP: The setup menu’s “Reset” procedure will not remove the default “System Control 1” and “System Control 3” macros. To do so, enter macro recording mode, press and hold [DEL] and then select the button you want to reset.

To reset all system macros at a single time, hold the [DEL] key at the top of the screen and press [SYSTEM].

To reset a single timer, press [TIMER] followed by the timer button you would like to clear. To finish, answer [YES] twice.

To reset all timers at a single time, hold the [DEL] key at the top of the screen and press [SYSTEM].

Locks the Remote from Changes
[Commander Off] + [Muting], [Lock]
All of the remote’s setup menu options can be locked from further changes, one at a time. To do so, hold [LOCK] at the top right of the screen and the setup item to change. That item will stop flashing and can no longer be selected. To reverse this setting, repeat the procedure.

Locks the Remote from Use
[Clock Display] + [Commander Off]
To lock the remote hold the above button combination for two seconds. When the remote is locked the word “LOCK” will appear on-screen and it will beep twice if you try to use it.

To unlock the remote, hold [Commander Off] for 2 seconds.

Resets the Remote to Factory Defaults
Note that this will remove absolutely all programming – use with caution!
Remove at least one battery from the remote. Now, while holding the [VOLUME-] and [CHANNEL-] keys simultaneously, re-install the batteries and then release those two keys. The remote will display “EEPRON TEST OK SPI” on screen and flash the transmission icon continually. Again, remove at least one battery, re-install it, and the remote is cleared.
