Get a learning remote, go back to the store with extra batteries and use their remote to teach yours. Insignia is HORRIBLE! I mean, the product is good, the customer service is PATHETIC. My workplace has an INSIGNIA LCD from Futureshop, in Canada. We lost the remote and I tried calling in to get the codes.
Me: Hi, I lost the remote here at my store, can I get the access code
Foreign accent lady: Wait, where are you calling from?
Me: Canada
Lady: Where did you buy the TV?
Me: Futureshop
Lady: When? What's the name of your business?
Me: I don't have the receipt. Why does that matter??
Lady (rude): Then I not give it to you.
Me: WTF!!

3. If TV Green Light flash 2 times proceed step 4 otherwise goto step 1
4. Release MUTE and SELECT

Directv has a new remotes out, the rc64 & rc64rb. each has 7 new insignia tv codes, those codes are useless to any older directv remotes.
Just order the RF remote off of the directv website. You will receiver the rc64rb, its RF remote with backlighting. If you have one the following RF receivers, the H10, H20, HR20, and R15 you can add the RF antenna for additional $5. The remote costs $25.

you prolly already got an anser but if it's the hughes direct tv remote...hrmc-8 at the top left corner of the remote...check for the thread by maxxknight...it will explain how to scan for the code

I have a 27" insignia flat screen, I cant get my TiVo remote to control the inputs, or any other remote for that matter. I can turn the TV on and off, just cant control any of the inputs, any advice? My universal remote is a sony RM-V202, this was the 6th differant remote, and the only one that turned the TV on and off. I just want a remote to control the inputs, all I want to use this TV for is games.

You're stuck with whats mapped via the preset code on the sony remote, sorry.
If you still have your tivo peanut try codes 0011 & 0091. And program the tv input key separately using those codes.

Hi..I had the same problem when trying to setup my Direct TV remote.
I tried the following codes:
11641 10171 12002 11326 11204
11517 11963
The one that worked for me was 11326.

I have a NS-27HDTV Insignia . i tried all those codes and still no dice any help. I have direct TV and remote is RC-23 , tried the learn mode still nothing ?

You're out of luck, Insignia tells you to use the learning mode, if your remote has one which the rc23 directv remote doesn't, because there isn't preset code for that model in any universal or oem remote. At the time they made that chart, directv released a new remote with 14 polaroid tv codes, thats 13 codes that aren't in the rc23. The new remote is the rc64 series. The rc32 series has ten of those codes, but none match your model, if you get a rc64, your hope is riding on the 4 new codes that weren't in any directv remote before. These are the codes in the rc64: 10765, 10865, 11262, 11276, 11314, 11316, 11326, 11327, 11328, 11341, 11498, 11523, 11991, 11992. If you don't get two blinks after entering the fifth digit then that code isn't in your remote.

All of this mumbo jumbo...All I did was search "3 digit code for insignia tv" on google and it took me to this website and I had a code in less than a minute. [Link: insignia-products.com]or [Link: insignia-products.com]The reason one code does not work for everyone is we all have different models of televisions, each with different codes. Good Luck!
