Sorry youy're out of luck, you need a aftermarket learning remote, because there aren't any universal remotes with a code for the current sylvania either.

I have a 24" Insignia Model TV040922A and a Comcast OnDemand remote (silver)

I've tried everything listed in this thread, to no avail.. i've even used the scan feature (991-1 then hitting up channel) all it does is either change the channel to 5 or 0... it doesn't power off... and when i tried to save it after it changed, when i hit the power button, it just types that number over and over

I'm at a loss.

Has anyone had any success with this tv / remote combo yet?

I feel your pain. However, there is hope. We used code 10463 which is a common code from Insignia's web page. Our TV wasn't even listed. Good Luck.

I was told the same thing. I used a common code found on Insignia's page 10463. It worked and I am using a Direct TV remote for a 22" LCD HDTV Insignia purchased from Best Buy.

Hello. I have the Insignia IS-TV040918 (13") TV/DVD combo and was successful programming my RCA (RCA4258) Universal Remote Control (URC). I used the auto code search and entry mode. Code retreival revealed my code to be 1220. All fine and good. I want to know; should I then program the dvd portion. I can get to the DVD mode by pressing the input button, but the DVD controls do not work. Any suggestions how to get the dvd controls to work?

I dont have a insignia tv, but have a dvd player. just bought a Vizio tv which did not list insignia. I was told that insignia was made by zenith found that the Zenith codes worked great. Hope they work for other devices as well.

I read that the Insignia tv is really a brand name called Sansui. The direct tv remote gave me the option to locate it by searching until the right one was found that way.
It gives you all the tv brand names and when i picked the Sansui it finally worked after I followed there steps from the screen.

Code 10463 worked with my Insignia television and Directv remote but it was tricky. The volume adjusted but only the satellite receiver would turn off. I thought the code was useless until I hit "off" again and then the TV finally did turn off. Although you have to hit the power off button two times, it does control both systems. Thanks for the help.

I have a Insignia 22" with a DIRECTtv remote, but wondered why my insignia remote no longer operates the tv on and off. The direct tv remote operates the channels fine, but not the volumn either. I can channel surf w/ the DIRECTtv remote, but have to get up to turn the volumn control or to turn the tv off. Please help.
Thank you
