INSIGNIA LCD TV's will work with EMERSON codes for DIRECTV. just try around, one of them worked perfectly with my Insignia tv, now i can use the original DIRECTV remote to control my new TV. AWESOME! just try!

I had a simialr problem locating the device code for Insignia for DISH network. Techincal support told me the device code (for Insignia on DISH) was 720.
Worth a try. It worked for me.

Sansui also produces Dynex from Best Buy use those codes for your AT&T Homezone or 2wire remotes.

Hi, hbsurfvad and others with the same problem. I too had the same experience with my B'Buy Insignia NS-LCD42HD set. I have Direct TV, RC23 Remote. Here's the drill:

1. At the top of the remote, slide the DEVICE KEY button to the right, under TV

2. Press and hold both the REMOTE and SELECT buttons until you see the LED blink twice

3. Enter the five digit code: 10463

4. Slide the DEVICE key back to the left, under the DirecTV logo

Emerson 0463 worked for me (Comcast 3-in-1 remote)

I got 0205 for mitubishi to work, I alos here that Philips codes may work.

Here's an idea don't shop at Best Buy or buy insignia.

For Comcast Cable Remote the code is 0463 which happens to be listed in the comcast literature as the Sansui code, for what it's worth.

I found this by using the written instructions under "Searching for your code" to find the code. Follow the instructions but MAKE SURE TO COUNT how many times it takes for your TV to turn off because you will likely pass it up on the first try. Leave the cable box off! Just turn on the TV by hand and do the 9-9-1 thing and alternate between the TV and Power buttons counting 1-1, 2-2, 3-3, and so on. If you pass it up, you can quickly go thru the steps again but SLOW WAY DOWN when you get close to your number. My TV was the Insignia NS LCD-26A and it was the 62nd code I searched for so it is a bit of a bummer when you pass it by, that's why I say count every time you try a code.

OK, so your tv finally turns off and you hit the setup button and that locks in the code. Now follow the instructions under "Checking the codes" and it works.
This gave me 0463 as previously noted.

I have an Insignia 27" CRT from Best Buy. Just got Comcast cable, and maybe they're using a different remote now. I tried sooo many codes, and decided to try a 1 in front of the 4-digit code. What FINALLY worked for me is a five-digit code - 10463

I even downloaded the online user manual for that remote from Comcast, and all of the codes were 4-digit, but apparently it's a new model that takes 5-digit codes now.
