Once you have both codes present in the remote, you can punch-through the vol to the sat device from the tv. If you have to call and have code SAT 1377 loaded, it will erase the upgrade Rob loaded for you, make sure OFA has TV 1520 at this time, before you have them load it, so you have both loaded at the same time.

.............and still no remote codes for SOYO Dymond Series 32" HD-Ready LCD TV - DYLTO32A (A=Silver is all)
I've been dealing with the same 2 remote issue since Jan 9, 2006. My 6-8 week $100 rebate came yesterday, 7 months later. Which should give you an idea about how this company is run.
If there's anyone out there who can give me SOYO remote code to program into my DIRECTV universal remote. I'd appreciate the CODE.
As you know...1 remote for volume and on/off....and picture in picture that won't work because I can't run the signal on DIRECTV with the SOYO remote.....you know the problems. And a second to change channels etc. Can you help??
Also, if you want to bitch about it to the SOYO CO. directly their USA office is in Ontario, CA. ( See e-mail links below) And just like our remotes there are 2 guys you can complain to. I already sent an email to each since they don't answer after business hours. I congratulated them on their expanding business out of the Ontario area and asked them how will they do after the internet gets it around you have to use 2 remotes for their sets to function. I also got the runaround about the codes available "soon" from the blue coller people out there selling these tvs.

And there never will, not in the current remote you already own. Get yourself a learning remote, teach it the commands from the soyo remote, like Sony RM-VL600.

Hello.... Relayswitcher here again with an up date for those of you who care. I got a response from SOYO themselves on the issue of the remotes for the Soyo Atlas HDTV and similair TV sets. The word back from them is if your set has a Serial# number that starts in a C0G05.... you are out of luck if you have a satelite provider for programming...NO CODES AVIALABLE...not now not ever. You can only use COGO5 with CABLE ONLY...using SHARP or PIONEER codes. IF your Soyo HDTV set is serial# C0G06... you CAN use satelite with Sharp or Pioneer codes.
Here is copy e-mailed to me for some clearity:

My name is Javier Vega: I'll be assisting you with your issue. Please read below to get the correct codes for the TV. DYLTO32C ATLAS Series

For DYLTO32C/D with serial number COGO5....... Unfortunately there are no codes!
For DYLTO32C/D with serial number COGO6....... You can use the Sharp or Poineer codes. (please check the cable/satellite box manual for codes)

As for the 13 frames it only works with Cable connection (connected to the ANT connection) Since, the satellite box comes either from the COAX or component connection and the TV has to be set to either channel 3 or 4. We cannot show other channels as one signal is coming in to the TV to be displayed. Please give me a call and will be able to explain this better.
Thank you for your understanding.

I responded with: Mr. Javier Vega,
Thanks for your timely response. My Soyo HDTV set Ser.# does start with C0G05... which you say has no codes available for Directv or any Satelite at all. How can your company even sell sets like these to unsuspecting buyers like myself, yourselves or your retail representatives???
I don't know where to start. I bought this television on a ShopAtHomeTV.com info-mercial late one night in January along with a 3 year warranty. I was NEVER once told that if I bought this set that it WOULD NOT & could not EVER ever be used as advertised no multiple screens with satelite....only with cable subscriptions. I'm speaking of course of NO CODES available for my Directv satelite provider, having to use 2 seperate remotes to run the Soyo, and non use of multiple screen functions. I bought the Soyo mainly for the HD and the multi-screen functions that I CAN'T EVEN USE. I have to tell you that I am not happy at all about this and all the 100s of people in the online forum sites around the country like this one are going to be very willing to start a class action suit over this....no kidding. Check out even just this one site about SOYO remote problems that has developed since only last year until present......

ShopAtHomeTV no longer sells your sets, so where's my 3yr. warranty I paid for ?...see the attached receipt and what I paid. I want this Soyo replaced with one that CAN be used with Directv satelite including use of multiple screens and a CODE for the remote and Ser.# that starts with C0G06......

I want to return the set on my warranty and have it replace with one that was not misrepresented to me. Can you please let me know what you intend to do about this please. Can you contact ShopAtHomeTv.com and see what's up with this.
Thanks , J.H. (Relayswitcher)

Feel free to call me again at the same number

PS. I will also try to contact ShopAtHomeTv by phone if I can.

Personally, I think you are probably what is known in the business as a "customer from hell", so I wouldn't be at all surprised if they just offer to give you a refund (instead of a replacement set) just to make you go away.

Where is it written that a company who makes a device needs to first ensure that all the cheap universal remote controls support it? In practice it works the other way around, first the device hits the market, then if it becomes popular the companies that make the universal remotes will decide whether they want to include the code or not. This is how it's always been.

As for the PIP functionality, have you never used a STB before? When you use a cable or SAT box to receive your channels, you always have to use either an AUX input or CH 3/4 to watch the shows, therefore the TV set doesn't have the ability to make the PIP tune into any of the other channels. This feature will only work if you are getting your channels OTA or from a direct cable connection. THIS IS HOW IT'S ALWAYS BEEN. TV OEM companies don't feel the need to actually spell this out because it's something everybody knows.

As for your remote situation, if you want one remote to work both your TV and your DTV box, do what the rest of us have done and buy a universal remote that can learn!
Rob.

I can't help you with the Comcast remote, but if you want
a regular universal remote that will work the Soyo, I
could pre-load the code into a "One For All" URC-8910
remote for you, if you like. The remote is $20 and shipping
is $4.

I have the code for the DYLT032A which I assume will also work for the DYLT032B. I can certainly pre-load that code into a remote for you.

If you still have the original remotes, and you get a JP1 cable with the remote, then you will have the ability to make the remote work all of those devices, plus any others that you might buy in the future.

I have a SOYO DYLT3260. I just got a Scientific Atlanta cable box with a UR5U-8400A remote (which I really like btw). Can't program it to work the TV though. I have read this thread and don't have a clue what JP1 cable is or how it might be used. Anybody have the code(s) I need or can enlighten me about the cable and its use?
Thanks

Does the URC 8910 work on a SOYO Crystal Series 32" ? I looked at OFAs code listing online and they do not show a 1520 code yet.
I am hoping to get something to work the SOYO and a Motorola DVR (Comcast).
Also could the URC 8910 be programmed to control an ILO DVD recorder?
[Edit] Looking at additional posts, I see the answer to my query re: the Soyo 32B. How do I order the URC 8910 through you Rob with the 1520 codes already entered? I do have Paypal if that is the best route.
