Here are three remotes that can control your Soyo TV:

RCA RCRP05B $20 at Best Buy and Walgreens
OneForAll URC-8820N or 10820N. About $20 at Sears
These remotes are available on-line also.

Use setup code TV 1826.

See post #62. It answers the same question for a
MT-SYTPT3227AB. Compare that model number to yours:
MT-SYTPT4227AB.

The first is a 32inch TV and the second is a 42 inch TV. It is extremely likely that both TVs use the same IR signals, so the remotes recommended in post 62 should work for yours.

Glad to hear 11520 worked for you. Since Soyo TVs respond to a variety of setup codes, it will help others if you post which model TV you have.
Thanks.

I have a soyo MT-SYSTP4227AB My remote worked until I went into the settings and set the remote from default to universal. I tried changing it back to default but it didn't work just wondering if any one else has had this problem. Also tried using my scientific atlanta remote with codes provided earlier in thread but they didn't work either. Might try the remote from best buy but want to find out if any one knows a solution for my problem first. Also if any one knows a way to reset my TV back to its factory settings that would probably work but so far can't find a way of doing it w/o the remote because I would need to be able to press a 5 digit code and can't do that w/o a remote so I kind of have a dilemma. So if any one knows of a reset button that would be greatly appreciated as well
Anyways thankyou ahead of time

I need a new remote for my SOYO television. Model # MT-SYTPT3218AB (serial number the same as model number adding -6J0905 to the end).

Looking for any and all options - I've purchased 2 "universal remotes" and spent hours trying to find ANY code that would work with the SOYO TV, to no avail.

I did find a "Replacement remote" on 1800 remotes... to the tune of almost $60 w/ shipping. Looking for a slightly cheaper option, if one exists.

According to this page, your TV uses the same IR signals as the ones listed in post #62.
Assuming that's true, you should be able to use the following remotes using setup code TV 1826.
RCA RCRP05B $20 at Best Buy and Walgreens
OneForAll URC-8820N or 10820N.
OndForAll OARC04G
OneForAll OARI06G
OneForAll OARN05G (11826)
OneForAll OARN08G (11826)

Typically, remotes with names having e.g. 04 instead of 05 are sister remotes and will also have the setup code.  So you could save money by buying an 03 version--but it would only control 3 components.

Just an update - I went to 3 different Walgreens and our only Best Buy, and none of them carried the remotes you listed. I ended up buying an RCA remote (different number than listed) and even though it listed SOYO as TVs it would program, it did not program my TV. So, instead, I went back to Best Buy and I bought a Logitech Harmony 300 remote (on sale for $29.99) and so far it seems to be working - hurray!

We have a Soyo Prive 32"HD ready LCD TV, MT-PRTPT3229AB MS and the universal remote that came with the TV stopped working after my nephew had it in his mouth.

We are unable to get the remote that came with our Rogers Cable box to work for the TV. We believe the remote is an Atlas DVR 1055 or 1054 http://www.urcsupport.com/ (can't tell which one it actually is) we did the setup instructions and clicked the Ch+ button over 500 times and still not working.

We've been searching for a while for a way to get this universal remote to control the TV (be great if we could even get the volume to work)

We are not technical savvy so any answers or help would be appreciated. We hesitate to buy a new remote as this is the remote that controls our Rogers Cable box, and we would LOVE to have one remote to control them all.

We know the IR signals for your TV, and the correct setup code is TV 1826. However, none of the Atlas remotes carry that code.

I listed remotes which do have the code in post #71. These remotes are made by UEI, which is the same company the supplies the Atlas remotes, and for sure those remotes will control your cable box.
