My family has a history of kidney stones.

Fortunately I try to eat and drink healthy. Never any soda I just drink water, coffee, natural juices and the occasional beer.

You drink a barrel of coffee a day. That's not really under the "healthy" category

I'm working on my first under bed TV lift install... hope to have it finished up tomorrow.

It's a custom lift from Activated Designs with an extra extension mechanism to push it out past the foot of the bed farther to clear a lounge thats placed against the foot of the bed.

Taking tons of time.  The bed is a dual adjustable base that had to be welded up and modified with reinforcement to remove all the center legs and the foot of the bed had to be cut out and reupholstered to provide an opening for the TV to come out.

On top of that I'm cramming a bunch of stuff on the back of the TV (HDBT receiver, Apple TV, MRF-260) and also mounted a cheap Samsung sound bar/sub combo on the bottom of the 50" TV.

Should be cool when complete!

Nice job Paul.
Is there a way to start tilting the TV while it's still sliding from under the TV to shorten the dead space in front of the bed?

As most of you know, I'm all broken and can't work.
With all this extra time, I've been spending way too much time thinking about all the crap I've always wanted or things I've wanted to do.
Last few weeks I've been thinking about how cool it would be to own a tractor and how much more work I could do around the house and how I could have saved some money on equipment rental and hired help.
On Monday I won a somewhat local (200 miles out) auction for a Kubota L3200 tractor: [Link: ebay.com]?

I picked her up today.
Tomorrow I will see what my broken ass can accomplish on this new toy tool.

Dude I am way jealous, I have major chub for tractors, and I want one just to have one!

I even miss my ride on Cadet Ride on Mower, I had a few attachments and I got so much done with that.

But if I had a real tractor, I would shine that bitch up and just drive it around the neighborhood!

Well, if it makes you feel better, I got fu*ked just a day later.
I went to look on Craigslist in the town I was going to be driving by to see if there were any implements that I could purchase while on the way to pickup my eBay tractor.
Lo and behold I find this gem: [Link: showlow.craigslist.org]
twice the HP (57 vs my 32), less hours (not that that really matters), fricken CAB (which is always awesome), better attachments, only a year older (2 vs. my 1 year old) and only a grand more!

I sure as hell hope that this Craiglist thing is a scam.

Yes, I could have called the eBay guy and tell him the deal is off and maybe even pay him few hundred bucks for his eBay fees, but I didn't want to be a jerk.

Hi Mario, the extra space at the end of the bed was by design because there's a chaise lounge at the end of the bed and we needed the extra extension.  Activated design added a second sliding mechanism for the extra reach so there's a total of 4 stages.  This added about $3k to the cost.

Total price for the install was almost $20k after factoring in the lift, equipment, labor and all the fabrication work and modifications on the bed.  The bed has an adjustable base so it's really busy underneath the bed (bed mechanism has a total of 8 actuators & two power supplies) so with the TV lift and sub under there too there's a lot going on.

Here's a couple photos showing the beds in different positions... you can see at the foot of the bed where the footboard was modified to create a slot for the TV to slide out (it used to be flat across the bottom).

Here's a video with it close to being finished.  There's a bed skirt that drapes on the floor about 14" all the way around, it was too long and would get stuck under the lift rollers so had to be removed for alteration.

I have made it a rule to stop looking once I buy something when there is no recourse.

The good news is "YOU GOT A FREEKIN TRACTOR"!

Have fun with that bad boy!

You're absolutely right of cause.
I took her out for a bit today.
She did quite well, including moving some of the granite that my guy is going to use to fabricate outdoor kitchen one of those days.
