You're absolutely right of cause.
I took her out for a bit today.
She did quite well, including moving some of the granite that my guy is going to |use to fabricate outdoor kitchen one of those days.

Pretty freekin sweet! My neighbors would be pissed at me right now, or maybe have me committed!

I will be cruzin thru your town along the 40 in a couple weeks, if it works out we should break bread.

Went to the river, caught some nice smallmouth bass, played around with a copperhead that was on the way back to the car. Now headed to go get the campfire going.

Good stuff.

I skipped CEDIA this year (again) to take a really long overdue vacation. It was only a 4-day weekend away with my wife & son but no doubt I made the right choice on where to place the priority.

Found out I won a Lutron Excellence Award for a RA2 project. My Lutron rep attended to accept the award on my behalf. There were a total of 8 awards handed out and my submission won best retrofit project.

Here's a video showcasing the project:

I don't know how you do it. Where do you find the time to get these projects, install/implement them, take the photos you do and produce videos on top of all of it?

You are my hero!

BBQ'd a Tri-tip for my He-Bitch Man Whore, had a bottle of The Bruery Aniversary, smoked a Padilla, reminisced the last 12 years before I embark on the next chapter of my life in a week.

Perfect Southern California evening weather to enjoy the evening out on the deck with an old friend.

He is my hero too.
I talk to Paul every once in a while and am always amazed.
He works alone, helps his wife and kid.
He does more in shades alone than I've done in last 2 or 3 years altogether.
He's projects are immaculate.
He's documentation, wiring layout, labeling, rack building overall approach to job is second to none.

My wish is to one day ask Paul to come and help out for a week or two, free of charge of cause, just so I can learn.
My concern obviously is that I would only get in the way and slow down his perfected system.

I'm flying out on 9/28 to Scottsdale for wife's surgery and will be back on 10/2.
Otherwise, I'm always home since my ass is still broken.
I would love to hook up with you and could even ask Laura to make her enchiladas.
You can also crash in my guest bedroom for the night.

I'm no different than anyone else... just takes a little bit of ambition and then putting in the effort & hours.  Being in a wealthy market helps too!

What's this about enchiladas???

Driving into Montecito Estates everyday to do installs doesn't hurt any.
To me those are really commercial installs rather than residential. Those "homes" are built more to commercial specs the resi! :)

The ultimate working environment to be sure, you are blessed!

And its evident you appreciate it.

I about died today installing a camera 3 stories up.

i was installing the swan neck mount, last screw. Lost my balance and about fell over the railing, dropped my drill to save my life. Fortunately nothing but some dirt on the drill from falling into the flower bed.

I was stupid for doing such a dumbass thing. I was on my toes trying to get it done and drive the screw in with both hands when it slipped and it all happened within a blink of an eye. doing this with an already questionable height railing. No way to get a ladder in the area, the only way to get up that high would of been to use a genie lift.

I was also alone and down the shore in the off season, so had i fallen and happened to of lived it would have been a very long time before someone found me.

I dont like heights anymore, specifically up on a ladder.
When I was younger I had no fear. Well, that has changed.
Ive rented genie lifts several times so I wouldnt be up that high.
I walked away from a job doing some camera at a marina. The guy in charge said they had a lift to get me up 30-40' to put up a ptz.
Got there to start the job and told them to get the lift over there and they roll out a forklift with a pallet wobbling back and forth on top of the forks...lol. ummmmm, no thanks.

I learned my ladder lesson inside (luckily). Trying to use the "this is not a step" as a step when the whole ladder just tipped over and i was slammed into the floor. My whole body hurt for a week.

Outside...the most dangerous thing i have had to do is climb up these icy rebar "ladder rungs" to the very top (I only had to climb the last story) of a skyscraper to mount my XM antenna...while it was snowing!
