Audiovox, the brand name behind many other brand names, has announced a pair of basic universal remotes at CES 2010.
The first is the RCA RCRV06G, which features voice-based control – simply tell it what you want and it does it, from turning the system on, surfing channels, or starting a movie. The model also features a backlit keypad and voice-guided help system. MSRP is listed at $39.99.
The second is the One For All OARI06G, which features what the company is calling “SmartControl” that “does the thinking for you”. The remote is capable of controlling 3 activities and 6 devices, sports an iPhone-inspired style, and has a MSRP of $29.99.
