Changes to Buffalo's WGRZ 2-1, WNLO 23-1 and WIVB 4-1 daytime schedules in today's edition (09-25-2015) of Alan Pergament's Buffalo News article states the following: ► THE DOCTORS are moving to 23-1 at 10:00. ► Wendy Williams is moving to 4-1 at 15:00. ► DR. OZ is moving to 23-1 at 09:00. ► Meredith Viera remains on 23-1 at a new time - 11:00. ► FABlife will air on 23-1 at 12:00. WNLO will also be carrying the Atlantic Coast Conference football and basketball package that has previously aired on WBBZ-TV 67-1. The View gets a major makeover with Joy returning... CRTC gave its approval today for Corus' two conventional television stations, CHEX and CKWS and their repeaters, to disaffiliate from the CBC and begin airing CTV programming effective August 31. Changeover begins Sunday morning at 00:05 with Castle. In the linked decision, it should be noted that Corus and the CRTC do not see CHEX and CKWS as affiliates of CTV, and that Corus is not obligated to air CTV NEWS programming, but they will.  Due to coverage of the NFL Buffalo Bills and the Pittsburgh Steelers game on WKBW main station .7-1. this Saturday afternoon, the Little League World Series game and World News Tonight will air on their sub-channel .7-2. (Laff-TV).

Sinclair Broadcast Group (with MGM) will debut COMET-TV, a sci-fi channel, on October 31. It may replace ZUUS Country in some markets. It will air locally in Buffalo on WNYO-DT 49-3. [Link: en.wikipedia.org] http://comettv.com/

♦ ABC cancels 'Whispers' and 'The Astronaut Wives' Club'. ♦ The former over-the-air (NBC affiliate) sub-channel Universal Sports Network which became primarily a satellite/cable channel in 2012, will shut down on November 16. ♦ November 30 deadline for U.S. stations approaching – the requirements for converting text based emergency information aired on their stations outside of news and EAS alerts (usually crawls dealing with issues such as severe weather alerts) into speech for airing on their SAP channels, and the requirement that any clips transmitted through IP technology (e.g. to computers or through apps) must contain captions if those clips were taken from programming that was broadcast with captions.
Other deadline obligations:- January 1, 2016, for captioning “straight lift” clips, defined as a single excerpt of a captioned TV program with the same video and audio that was shown on TV on or after January 1, 2016;
- January 1, 2017, for captioning “montages,” defined as a single online file containing multiple video clips taken from different parts of a captioned full-length TV program or from different captioned TV programs that were shown on TV with captions on or after January 1, 2017; and
- July 1, 2017, for captioning video clips of live and near-live TV programming, such as news or sporting events shown on TV with captions on or after July 1, 2017. For live clips, the rules permit up to a 12-hour delay in posting a captioned clip after the programming has been shown on TV. For near-live clips, the rules permit an 8-hour delay in posting a captioned clip after the programming has been shown on television.
