 The CW has partnered with Just for Laughs for its newest primetime comedy special, the “Howie Mandel All-Star Comedy Gala,” premiering Monday, Jan. 16 at 8 p.m. The special will feature stand-up performances from comedians like Jay Pharoah and Iliza Shlesinger. With Just for Laugh’s 35th anniversary approaching this year, the special will also include comedians paying tribute to some of their own favorite comedians from the festival since its genesis, including Wanda Sykes and Jim Gaffigan. |

ANTENNA TV will change its schedule on January 2nd. Note Friday night prime time 20:00-22:00 schedule differs than that of the Monday to Thursday schedule. For PDF chart click on ANTENNA TV logo below. Note that Buffalo channel 2-2 will continue to pre-empt the 19:00 time slot for local 18:00 news when possible.

  NBC News announced today that Megyn Kelly will become anchor of a new one-hour daytime program that she will develop closely with NBC News colleagues. The show will air Monday through Friday on the NBC broadcast network at a time to be announced in the coming months. Full Story |

New episodes of network programs could be pre-empted (delayed) on Tuesday January 10 to accommodate the airing of President Barrack Obama's Farewell Presidential Address which could last 10-15 minutes. Time to be announced. |

After years of rumors and false starts, a Charmed reboot is once again in the TV cauldron, with The CW ordering a one-hour pilot script that is being billed as a prequel-ish reimagining of the beloved WB original. One very promising sign: The project is being shepherded by Jane the Virgin EP Jennie Snyder Urman. Featuring an all-new cast, I’m hearing the potential series revolves around three witches who are brought together to fight evil in a small New England town circa 1976. Although there don’t appear to be any clear connections to the characters portrayed by Alyssa Milano, Shannen Doherty, Holly Marie Combs and Rose McGowan, one of the new witches (at least per unofficial intel) bears the same name as McGowan’s Paige. --By Michael Ausiello / January 5 2017, 10:44 AM PST

NBC wants to make sure viewers can watch President Obama’s farewell speech Tuesday without having to miss — or DVR — the midseason return of its breakout drama This Is Us.
CBS, meanwhile, will re-run the Season 9 finale of The Big Bang Theory in place of Bull after the speech.
NBC said today that This Is Us‘ “The Right Thing to Do” episode – the series’ first original since the December 6 Christmas episode – will air at 10 PM Eastern, 9 PM Central, and twice back-to-back Pacific starting at 9 PM.
An encore airing of new game show The Wall will be joined in progress after the president’s address, which is expected to run 40 minutes, and the Chicago Fire episode originally scheduled for 10 PM January 10 will air a week later, on January 17.
Eastern
8 PM — The Wall (original) [7 Central/7:40 Mountain/8 Pacific]
9 PM — President Obama address [8 Central/7 Mountain/6 Pacific]

New digital network TBD will launch soon on channel 29.2 I guess the Country Network is either gone or moving...

It's Gone. TBD was either going to be on 29-2 or 49-2.
This way GET TV was saved. The word 'reshuffle' was mentioned in a conversation at WUTV, but the Country Network has been dropped by other Sinclair Stations; it carried a lot of local paid programming though. |

I saw a commercial for the new channel last night during Family Guy. It just said coming soon to digital channel 29 dot 2. Channel is geared towards people who like the Internet.
