I think that, maybe, we need a new forum for the TSU3000. Since many of us will be playing with the new Pronto Edit NG, this will be the best place to share ideas....
What do you think?
Willy.

I thought the same thing with some other remote. But I was told it's not needed. Yes we may be talking about the new 3000 every day. But in about a month or so, it will start going back to the norm. So I wouldn't worry about it.

Depends. The TSU3000 seems to be a completely new platform for the Pronto, like the ProntoNEO. New hardware, new software, new features, new file format. It probably would warrant a new forum, along with the iPronto.

What should I say? :-) I know there's issues, yet site speed for the last month or two has been OK for me (but obviously not for others). Guess you've joined my super-select private "fast access" club!

Thanks cool then. Guess that what you get when you use netzero as your isp. :-)

But I have noticed this though. When I use my friend's AOL, she only gets on average speed of 23 kbps. When I am on average of 53kbps. And I pay only $10 a month.
Hmmmmm makes you think huh?

on the thread topic:

seems like it would be better, initially, to keep them together as there is going to be a lot of chatter about conversions and information that could be gleaned from those non-3000 users that aren't going to be able to upgrade right away. besides, it almost seems like "breaking up a family". perhaps after everyone who's going to upgrade has the kinks worked out and their posts become more 3000 specific, it probably would be a good idea to start a new forum, and "we who are left-behind" can send 3000 questions to the 3000 forum, much as we do with NEOs, now.

the ipronto? probably could/should have it's own forum right off the bat.......it's simply a completely different animal.

Right. In fact, people will be asking things about "prontoEdit" or ProntoEdit NG wich is a different program. I would go with a new forum.

I think there is also the problem of naming this and the 3000 forum. I guess going with the file format would be the best thing.

but what should this one be named? If it remains Pronto, then the 3000 belongs here. And I think calling it the Pronto 1000, 2000, 6000 just becomes tiresome :-)

I was thinking "Pronto NG" (Pronto Next Generation, after ProntoEdit NG). There will likely be other models based on the new hardware/file format.

I like the Pronto NG idea.
