I noticed that as well. I compared the IR codes of the signals and noted some similarties, but no definite match. Anyway, hope they were useful! SanMan

I have a Sony KV-32FS12 which has 4 video inputs but the remote that came with it does not have any controls. Is there a way to find codes that will allow direct change rather than moving from vid 1, 2, 3, and 4? Also as a beginner, I need detailed help.

I sent SanMan's new codes to my friend with the Sony receiver and he confimed that the UNIT ONE codes for MUTE ON and MUTE OFF do work with the STR-DA333ES. YIPPEE!!!!!!!! THANKS AND APPLAUSE to SanMan!!!! We can now reprogram some Pronto workarounds for his system to be more graceful. I hope someone will add these new codes here to the Sony section of the DISCRETE CODES files, if not already done.

Wade: How did you discover the discrete mute codes? By the way, they're very useful codes. It's made my ccf even more bomb-proof.

By the way, I could not find the codes in the Dicrete Codes section. Have they been uploaded elsewhere?

Wade, I would appreciate the discrete code for the mute as well as the others. My other quest is for the ability to switch the AUDIO only component of the DVD Video source. This to to allow video to be set to TV whatever when I listen to dts Audio only CDs. The frustrating thing is the front panel of my Sony STR-DA50ES receiver has a 3 state mode button "V", "A" or both controlling the behaviour of the rotary input selector knob. I have not found any IR codes for this button nor the rotary knob even. A couple of days ago, I posted to this site a modified version of Geoffrey Reynolds "ProntoUtil v1.2b". Hopefuly it will appear in the "Files > Pronto > Other > Utilities > IR Programs" section soon. I added the ability to generate a CCF version of all the Function codes of a given device number. Cutting and pasting hundreds of codes into CCFPanels was such a bore in my quest for elusive IR commands. Like you, I got stuck on decoding or generating the EQ codes as they do not fit our known 5bit, 8bit or 13bit Sony patterns.
In advance, thanks. Foxnolds

I have a KV-27FV15, also with 4 video inputs Video 1,2, and 3 can be selected directly with discrete codes. Video 4 can easily be reached with a macro: Video 3 Delay .1 TV/Video You can find the hex codes for these functions at [Link: remotecentral.com] Note that although there is a Video 4 code, it will not work. The other code you may find useful is Tuner, which will change directly back to the broadcast signal. Good luck, Joe

On 08/14/01 15:06.33, Wade Carpenter said... These are some codes that I have aquired from me sony str-db940 remote: Power ON / Power OFF (not new) Mute ON / Mute OFF 5.1 ON / 5.1 OFF EQ. Tone ON / EQ. Tone OFF Sound Field ON / Sound Field OFF (starts at the top i.e. Normal Surround on my receiver) I also have an alternate "All sony off" command than the one posted on this site. Might be good for other systems where the one posted here does not work. I'm curious if anyone would interested in seeing if these are good for other sony receivers. If so, let me know and I'll send you the codes. p.s. the codes are all clean and garbage free. SanMan

Wade, I have an older Sony STR-D2090 receiver with a RM-P321 remote. My Pronto Neo remote will not learn the "system off " button and neither of the receiver codes in the Philips book will work my receiver. I really like to use this button to make it a no brainer for the kids to be sure to turn off all of the equipment. Do you have a code that might work? Any help or advise would be appreciated. Thanks, Jim
