There is a warning that once you use the RC 2.0 to program a device, you cannot go back to 1.1 .... so if find a bug in 2.0, you are stuck with it until the final version comes out.

I have 2.0 loaded and have looked at some of my files with it, but I dont see a big difference between it and 1.1 .... since I am new to working with the process on this nevo device, I have decided not to program with the 2.0 at all yet.

Dont you have the 1.1 so you can register it and get on the mynevo site and download the 2.0 rc version?

My rational for the 2.0 version is totally based on Z-Wave. I have just purchased the NC-50 and a few Leviton Z-Wave lighting switches/plug-in modules. Without the 2.0 there is no “two way” control of Z-Wave devices.

I do have the 1.1 rev registered however I am not able to access the dealer login to download the new version. Maybe I’m just overlooking something?

All i had to do was re-register with Nevo as an installer. I should have tried that before now!

I finally got around to trying out the Z-Wave aspects of 2.0.

Compared to the rest of Studio Pro the Z-Wave support seems to be missing some very basic functionality. The biggest problem I see is that Z-Wave components commands and events are not seamlessly integrated. I.e. the home control widgets can only interact with home control devices and I haven't found any way for them to do any of the normal commands such as sending an IR code or running a global macro. Similarly, the regular widgets can't interact with home control devices. ...

edit: I just figured out how to accomplish some of the things listed above. Lighting scenes can be implemented in Studio Pro by creating Home Control Groups, which fortunately can also be used to add lighting control and other home control commands to normal buttons. That leaves only the ability to add normal commands (e.g. send, jump, etc.) to Home Control UI widgets as something that doesn't seem possible.

I forgot to mention that GA for 2.0 is currently scheduled for February, but until it actually happens there will always be the possibility of it slipping.

that is good news, think i wait till the end of Feb before i install the beta. I would rather have the GA release.

Intresting that you can not add normal commands like "jump" and what not to the widgets.

I log on to the Nevo site, and I only see the Studio Pro 1.1 download. Am I missing something?

Looks like this

Design Guide
Installer Data Sheet
Quick Start - Using Sample Configurations
Quick Start - Creating New Configurations
Quick Start - Adding a NevoConnect NC-50
Initial Installation Quick Start Guide

Yes, but only a single Home Control action can be set for any of the newly added Home Control UI widgets (although that one action can be for a HC group). If you've found a way to add a normal command such as Send, Jump, etc to a Home Control UI widget please share how you managed it.

openendstraight,

I think this is a case of looking to hard.

On the first page that is shown once you have logged in, there is a big box on the right hand side that says "Nevo Studio Pro 1.1" "begin downloading". Under that is the big orange box that says try 2.0.

I tried that, but it will not download. It takes me to a screen to tell them what I think of 2.0. It as for name, e-mail, ect. I put it in and nothing.
