Yeah, but again, the actual user gets squat! Correction...a
four-page "Quick Start Guide" with two pages of, um, "info."
I think the point, what jack D and I are both annoyed
about, is this apparent attitude that the person who actually
buys and uses the remote should know as little about it
as possible.

Yes I totally agree, I presently live in the Middle East and support is ..... I did buy it from a dealer back home and they did some basic programming with Data that I gave them and I gladly paid for.
However now I have to finalize it, tune it and improve it without much info.
I can’t send an email or call and pay $$ every time I have a small question .

Hi,

I know it's not a manual but someone may find it useful.

Don't know if you are still looking for it. Found a 200 pages NevoStudio design guide for the Nevo SL on the internet:

Does anybody has some more useful info on the S70 yet? Especially interested in system stability/speed and size of the IR database

Nice find with the manual but this is for the older SL not the S70.

IR data base is not stored on the remote. This is all stored in NSP.

This remote must be programmed on a computer.

It is not a crappytech (to harsh?) style remote where you enter a number on the remote.

I figured out already, just wondering if the database in Nevo Studio Pro is covering all manufacturers of AV equipment (also the less obvious European brands), are they offering availlable discrete codes and is the database kept up-to-date?

Without the names of the less obvious European brands I can't answer that, but their data base does seem to be very up to date and well kept. Just about every piece of equipment I have used thus far has had discrete codes available.
One thing I have learned in this industry. It is easier to pull a wire than it is to push one.
