UEI sent out email detailing that the SL has been discontinued. What ever stock is left at distributors is all there is.

That sucks, I'm a little surprised, it seems to me that the SL and the Q50 are aimed at two different users. The SLs larger screen leaves more room for customization. I have the same question as Laserjock, will support continue for the remote and the Studio software?

The S70 will replace the SL, early in 2008. It is the same as the SL but adds Zwave and will use the latest StudioPro software for design and programming.

UEI has great support for their dealer base. I know that this upsets the DIY, but I would rather support those that are suppose to support you.

What is the expected cost of the S70. Doubt I will get rid of the Nevo as its only a year old, but I like the idea of Zwave integration.

Not quite sure of the price yet. It also includes a web browser via wifi which is ideal for certain small screen info from web sites like news, sports scores, traffic, weather, etc.

Sorry, but I'm a certified dealer - even listed on UEI's website - they have NEVER answer a "Trouble Ticket" from me, so I no longer sell them. I bought one for myself, that's it. No way my experiences with them could be labeled as "great". I'll say this, their European offices are better than the one here in the states. They were much more helpful by comparison - how I wound up dealing with the European offices I cannot recall.

As far as troubleshooting a Nevo - I come here. Thinking they may have changed with a new product lineup and all, I sent out a trouble ticket for the Q50 - never heard from them.

EDIT - I officially apologize. UEI just called me on my trouble ticket and they were very friendly and very helpful and apologetic that he hadn't gotten back to me yet. Apparently the trouble ticket I had sent in had fallen through the cracks - which I understand can happen anywhere at anytime.

I have had great support from the Nevo team. I understand they don't wish to deal with end-users, but I recognize at times that they do this. Their model is more designed to support the custom installer. I have had nothing but great thingsto say about the support team. They know what they are doing and are always very helpful and resourceful.

I too have only good things to say about the Nevo tech support; they have been super helpful (not to mention patient) and they have gotten back to me whenever they've said they would.

It also helps that they are knowledgeable about the product and technologies involved in their product (which is more than I can say when I have called tech support from a remote brand that rhymes with "Fronto").

Curious if you guys simply log on and create "trouble tickets" or do you typically contact them in another way. Trouble ticket has always been the method I have used.
