Schultz....I remember him.

Anyways, thanks for the non-info Dave. We'll respect your non-dsiclosure agreement and in return I expect you'll come back as soon as Nevo unlocks your lips, right? I hope so, we are all looking forward to September.

I'm only going on information here in the UK. Take into consideration that with a lot of home cinema products the UK & US prices are offer very different. Take M&K products for example if the US price was $1000 that typically translated to £1000, therefore it may not be as steep as it sounds.

To give you perspective my Nevo SL would have cost£650 + Programming.

I just got an email from UEI about seeing the Q50 at the CEDIA 2007 booth. Nothing about the other remote though. Does anyone know if they have fixed the runaway problems they had with the SL? I have used 3 NevoSL's, and they all had runaway. It's not limited to certain devices either it seems. I just set one up with an NEC plasma, and it had run away with it the same as it did with the Pioneer plasma and the Motorola cable box. I'd never recommend one to anyone as long as the run away problem exists. Except for that (and the replacable battery) the SL is a great remote, very ergonomic and easy to program.
It's not just a hobby, it's an obsession...

Hi,

I have had no issues with "run away" in the last 4 months. I think there was a bad batch? Have any other installers found this as well? or am I the only one?

As for replaceable batteries the S70 will be user replaceable but the Q50 is not.

So once again--are we there yet?

I saw that Nevo updated their webpage to mention the product.
Still nothing about the S70 though.

Q50 should be available by the end of October, maybe sooner. MSRP is $699. I believe the new NevoConnect is MSRP at $299.

The S70 will not be available until Jan 2008. It will be both Zwave RF as well as wifi. I do not have pricing on these models yet.

If you wish to order, call me at 650-591-2110. I can order in advance for those who wish to get in line. This model looks very good with the latest hardbuttons and advanced controller with RS-232, video & voltage sensing, etc. Should be a real winner!

Searching the web for information on the S70 indicates that the list price is $1200. I really hope that is wrong information, or that dealers will be able to discount the price significantly.

Dave, do you know why we would need the NevoConnect to go with it?
What does that peice do?

Also, if were just using the remote for regular IR transmission....we shouldnt need anything else? right?
I guess I should explain that...since my equipment is in a closet....I have hardwired it with IR transmitters running over cat5 and an IR eye infront of the TV.
So technically I dont need RF or Wifi.

One more..is there a list of what features are new to the Q50 OR S70 in comparison with the older model?

Warning! Nevo Q50 will NOT have a wifi module, thats a wrong information! Q50 is ZW-IR only, thats why its cheaper!

ddarche: "It will be both Zwave RF as well as wifi. I do not have pricing on these models yet."

Ergo: The more cheese, the less cheese!

I just went to a Nevo training class today and the scoop is that the Q50 will be ZWave only with the NevoConnect. The S70 will be ZWave and Wifi supporting both the Nevo Connect and the Nevo Link (wifi).

The Q50 is shipping now at $699 USD MSRP
Nevo Connect coming very soon at $299 MSRP
There will be an antenna extender kit, rs232 serial cable, video sensor and voltage sensor all avail
The S70 is expected Q1 08 with an $1199 MSRP

I'll have more info and pictures posted on my site soon.

I think I said the S70 will have both wi-fi and Zwave RF.

kktk - you don't need the NevoConnect if you have an IR repeater system. Otherwise, NevoConnect offers RS-232 support, power and video sync sending, etc., for more complex installations.
