I have just been to my daughters school for a Parents evening. I went to see how she is doing. I have enormous admiration for the hard work Teachers do and my daughter is taught by many dedicated, caring and passionate teachers. Many tools for discipline have been taken away from teachers and the amount of abuse they receive from pupils and parents means I would not be prepared to do there job. I would take offence if someone told me how to do my job that I’ve trained in and knew they were talking crud. I have interviewed many people for job positions and feel that I am a good judge of character. Every time I go to one of these parents meetings I find at least one teacher that I feel shouldn’t be in the job, one that it will take my child a while to get back on track because to be honest they can’t control the class and my child’s grades go down because of it, A teacher that has great difficulty explaining themselves face to face never mind to a class of 30 children. A Teacher that doesn’t know what my child looks like even though they teach them three times a week for two hours each session. As I say I wouldn’t or couldn’t do there job but I feel the kids deserve better.

UNION YES! ____________________________
There are plenty of positions available for a qualified teacher.
They are being used by people that don't want the job either.

I thought seriously about being a teacher!
For all the wrong reasons!
Primarily, for summers off!
Every conference I go to now, I get the feeling that AT LEAST one of the teachers had the same reasoning when he or she chose to become a teacher !
So... I chose the field I'm currently in because I wasn't sure I really wanted to teach kids all day long, for the rest of my life.
Now.... it seems I still have to teach 'kids' all day long, and, I have to PAY them!!!
Makes you wonder who the smarter person was ! :)

One of the News Shows in the US just did a story on supplemental battery backs for other devices that when overheated, exploded, caused homes to burn down, and injured people ... maybe this is what they are talking about.
Supprisingly though, it is a known fact that if you use the pronto close to the groin it will make you infertile. Lets see a disclaimer about that. Michael, Just discovered that for all these years we've been using the Pronto all wrong.
