Im already mad but my PC is making me sane!
Ive a Windows XP service pack 2
IE 6.0.2900.2180xssp_sp2rtm040802-2158IS SP2
I now have broadband (wanadoo)but apart from that same pc that worked fine.
Now when im on some web pages i click on links and nothing happens. Nothing!!!
seems to be mainly "go" and "search" buttons on web sites but the search buttons on Remote Central work fine!?
I can see all home pages of web sites but cant link or search to the bits i want.
Ive tried switching pop up blocker off ,messing with java settings, active x settings, security settings, cookies and have searched sites for info its driving me sane.

any ideas on how to destroy my PC in the most evil way possible i want revenge like kidman in Dogville i want Bill Gates to cry as i kill each application.
Any suggestions?

The nice thing about computers:
It always turns out to be a 'simple' problem thats easy to fix.

The bad:

It takes half your life to figure out what the 'simple' problem is!
Every day is a good day.......some are just better than others!

Proud to say that my property is protected by a high speed wireless device!

Hmm.. have you considered using an alternate browser? I use Mozilla myself, but it can't hurt to try (and, in my opinion, it's a better browser anyway!)

I think thats a great suggestion Cygnusia (cheers )and i will give it a try if i cant get it to work in the next week but i am stubborn! so i'll keep at it .I might have tracked it down to Sun Java and windows VM conflict(even though the settings have been set for one or the other or both with still the same problems) .On the bar at the bottom it is always Java script validate etc that wont work even though its switched on in the settings .one site suggests using Regedit and deleting VM but it seems a bit techie and i dont want to wreck my PC.
I'm thinking of burning my copy of XP in super heated coffee Java blend of course.
