Just wanted to say an other good video (like always)
did I see it right, did the battery free remote have a hand crank on it? i.e. you need to turn the wheel at the bottom to produce the charge for it to work?
And what was it with the Philips remote, do the images (pool,eagle) come with it, or can you download stuff and if you can download stuff can you dl stuff like button shapes?

Thanks guys! It took a while to finish...
Yup, it's a remote with a hand crank. Charge lasts a week.
Re the Philips remote, that was a demonstration of the UPNP capability (in combination with one of Philips' Streamium devices)... allows you to browse media (photos, movies, music) from the remote and then have them display on a TV.

Supposedly designed to go with Philips' Connect Planet interface format (as far as I know not the decision of the remote folks).

The Philips 9800i fills an excellent place in the "remote control" market. A lot of people don't need fancy buttons, but DO need versatility at a reasonable price, and I think the WiFi extension to their box that links to your PC and AV receiver is excellent. You can have your PC in another room, and still enjoy it's multimedia content on your TV.
I think more remotes should include WiFi and Upnp in them.

Thanks! They take a lot of work to complete.
The editor was Sony Vegas Video. If my PC was cooperating, the video would have been available in HD as well.
