But it would be cool to have another "fund raiser" with buying t-shirts.

agree

it was a normal white T-shirt with round neck and the RC logo in the front
minus the blue and other stuff around the logo

I also have a few other ideas for products of RC. Like how about a key chain that has RC, or something of that sort on it. A sentance that says "I live for RemotCentral.com" on the t-shirt(of course not knowning what was on the orginal shirts). Or for our real Home Theater people, which Im not one of them right now. A poster with RC and stuff alike on it.

there were other stuff you could donate money (i.e. not buy anythoing, that was the first thing) there was buying a Pronto leather case, and Andrea did make a RC poster (wonder how many she sold? and if anyone still has it)

This was the Sony shirt: [Link: remotecentral.com]

The Sony version only came M-XXL. Those were given away in the summer of 2000.

a long time ago, Greg decided to raise money for
Daniel so that we can get him a thank you present
at first it was through donation but then someone
came up with the idea of a T-shirt you could buy.
It was a white shirt with the logo and the profits
went to the fund. I can't remember when It was,
but definitely before the summer of 2002

Yeah, I remember the fundraiser and I gladly contributed because this site helped me immensely as I was learning about remote controls. 'Even bought two shirts ---still wear 'em. One thing I remember is that Daniel never said thanks to the folks that contributed. Not one comment here on his site. Hmmmmm.
I've always thought that was odd.

Now, that's not really fair... I don't recall *exactly* what I did three years ago, but I did make a news annoucement afterwards thanking everyone who donated. Remember, though, it was thought up and run by Greg, who wanted to do everything - and Greg is passionate enough for the both of us! :-)

But if you donated and missed it then, then I'll say it again now - thanks! It was tough for me back then (including getting severely ripped off by an ad agency), and the community support was truly heartwarming.

Never had a 2100, but I did have a 2000 until Freya ate it . . . as I think I've mentioned before. Then got a 890, which I fumbled and broke the screen. Then got a 940 and tinkered with an MX500. The 940 has now died (after selling the MX) but if you've check out my link (elsewhere) you'll now know that I've got a 9500. Yes, I know, but it was too good a deal to turn my nose up at.

PS
I have difficulty remembering what I did last week, let alone three years ago.

PPS
Am I any closer to getting a new T-Shirt?

I remember those Sony shirts, I almost bought a remote just to get the shirt, but then decided that
a) I did not need the remote
b) the shirts were in limited quantity and knowing my luck by the time I got the paperwork the shirts would be gone and I would have gotten the remote for nothing
