I'm having trouble tracking down a remote control for my situation.

We have recently set up a conference room that contains 4 TV's. One TV is on Cable, One is Antenna, and two have Dish recievers.

My problem is that I am looking for a remote control that will set up and control all 6 of these devices (4 TV's and 2 Dish recievers). I'm running into complications because all four are Panasonic and three of them are the exact same model. I'm looking for a product that will let me control these TV's seperately, as most remotes tend to operate all three at the same time, since the sets are in close proximity to each other.

So does anyone know of a product that will let me differentiate between the four TV's?

Thanks

You could learn the IR's for the 4 TV's in to an Ocelot, and Program a universal remote (like the MX 500) with dummy IR's (those not used by the 4 TVs). The Ocelot would then control the 4 TVs via IR flashers. You could also program the remote to handle your other equiptment.

That's funny, ONEAC, I almost suggested the same thing but I figured somebody probably had an easier solution. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one that uses the Ocelot.

The MX-800 allows for this exact type of control. It has RF and comes with a base station with IR flashers to control components of the same model.

buy four gloves each a different colour and fill them with paper mache making the index finger on each glove point ,then attach to four painted garden canes ,spray the four TV sets the same four colours as the canes.to use just pick up the correct stick to the colour coded tv to switch the function on the front of the set works a treat.

Is there anything out there like the MX-800. THat's exactly what I want, but since I'm purchasing on Gov't contracts, they have to be on the vendor list. . . which they're not.

Any other suggestions?

I think you can do it with a Pronto TSU-3000 or Pronto Pro but you might need more RF receivers. (I think the receivers are addressable but not the IR ports) can also be done with a iPronto.

The MX-800 is a remote, sold in many places. Maybe one of the vendors that you are allowed to use carries it.

Not exactly George. I used to purchase equipment and supplies for an Air Force aquadron, and you can order anything from anywhere as long as you get at least 3 different prices from 3 different companies and purchase the lowest one. You print out the qoutes, submit them to who's in charge and get it approved to purchase. I used to buy tools for mechanics online with a squadron account and it was all approved.
