there are no descrete codes for any current model, however, you can buy a upgrade chip for any old set (HLM/HLN series) excluding some features from the HLM617W, for the following features:

1. Discreet Codes for on/off functions
2. Discreet Codes for video input select functions
3. Last setting memory for Aspect Ratio and Picture adjustments for each input
4. DNIe (not available on HLN617W)

pretty cool huh?

now more bad news:

The charge for this limited time offer is $200 plus applicable sales taxes.
It requires an in-home service call and should take about an hour to perform.

more bad news:

The program begins July 1, 2003 and will run through July 31,2003.
You can start registering June 15,2003.

I had to satisfy my curiosity as to what a DLP was as I'd never heard of them before and those of you equally curious, it's a "Digital Light Processor", or in laymans terms, a very high end digital TV monitor.
